Unlike a typical boxy speaker, this functional piece of art was originally hand-sculpted by the Transparent founder himself, Per Brickstad. It was then 3D casted with each piece finished with a spray of jesmonite, a mineral acrylic composite. The curved shape houses two 3" 15W full-range drivers. The shape helps to maximize the path of their soundwaves, enhancing their stereo separation, resulting in music that's both crisp and punchy. A: The umbrella is made in China. The umbrella has an 8mm standard shaft. The outer black is not removable. And the material is not listed but it is not designed for hot lights.

[5.0] I was looking for a way to stream analog audio (record player, tape player) to the other rooms in my house. Victrola actually sells a record player that can stream to all Sonos speakers, but this did so much more for a cheaper price and better product! 5

[Full-Range] Connected my Five to the Pro-Ject turntable (package). Stunned at the quality and robustness of the sound this speaker can produce. While the one speaker provides for an ample listening experience from the turntable, I cannot help but wonder what a pair of Fives would sound like. Easy setup, dynamic sound, really another excellent product. 5

[5.0] I currently have four Sonos 5, one Move, two Sonos 2 and the Soundbar with Sub. All have been working flawlessly until Sonos released this New App, now all my speakers keep dropping off when I'm trying to enjoy my music. I've tried resetting my Modem and reinstalling speakers to no avail. The new App needs the bugs worked out ASAP. 5

[1 x Class-D] I'm using these speakers in my living room, the sound is good . I would like have a way to connect a turntable and cd player on same system. What I'm hoping for in the sonos line is a larger bookshelf speakers. A larger soundbar around 55 - 60 inches with 4 inch woofers. 5

[Full-Range] First time purchasing The Five, which I have heard from a friend's house who has 2 of them, and this speaker sounds AMAZING. Sounds pretty close to the mini-subwoofer...which i will be purchasing it next! So happy I finally got my hands on a FIVE! 5
