Open wide and shoot. Same effect.Is this lens any different as far as achieving a blur around the outside? Does it only allow you to move the sweet spot, yet still utilizing a wide open aperture to get the blurring effect? In other words, will my 50mm prime create the same effect? (Except, of course) the sweet spot movement.

  A: We don't have a Sweet 56. We have a Composer Pro II with Sweet 50 Optic (pictured here) or we have a Velvet 56 which is a stand alone lens. Two different products and effects. The Composer Pro II with Sweet 50 Optic (pictured here) is 50mm, will give you a sweet spot of focus surrounded by a soft blur. Adjust the aperture for more or less of the soft blur. The Composer Pro II is optic swappable so you can take the Sweet 50 Optic out and put in a new optic for a new effect. It also has a ball-joint so you can move the sweet spot around your frame.
