Q: 1. Photoshop CS6 is working with Mojave OS on my current Mac. What OS does the iMac pro come with? BH says CS6 will not work with iMac pro. If that is the case I will have to get a regular iMac loaded with extra ram and a 1T ssd hard drive. Any opinions out there. Thanks, Sam

A: Adobe software older than the Creative Cloud (CC) versions are not officially supported on macOS 10.14 Mojave. The computers now will come with 10.14 Mojave.

Q: 2. Is there a way to order both the mouse and matching trackpad with the iMac Pro? I only see the mouse listed, and the trackpad is not listed in possible accessories.

A: If you wanted the trackpad, I would recommend ordering it separately. We will not be getting systems with both in the box.

Q: 3. Any Final Cut users have comparitive experience with the Radeon Vega Pro 64 vs. 56 ? Clearly the 64 would process 4k faster but I'm wondering speed bump is worth the price given that I'm a semi-pro who does 50/50 4k vs.2k. (thanks in advance for replies.)

A: If you take 10min 4k video file and compare 56 vs 64 . The 64 is gonna export the video about 1min faster . So little faster . Keep in mind if you do like 4hr long 4k video, the 64 prob be 10-15 faster .

Q: 4. Can you upgrade the RAM yourself on the iMac Pro?

A: Probably not a good idea... I seen on the web where they used what looks like a small Pizza cutter to break the seal between the metal frame and the glass (don't even bother with the heating process). then I seen the dude handle the memory sticks without a grounding wrist band and a connector to ground. I worked in the computer industry for over 46 years, and what I saw could do more damage with ESD to the entire system. If you have the grounding system and really want to do this, then have at it with a great deal of caution. However, you could end up with a $5,000+ dead computer and I doubt that Apple will cover your loss...

Q: 5. How will the iMac pro base model handle 100 to 500mb psd images?

A: The iMac Pro easily handles images of this size. I have built panoramic pictures using a Canon 5DS where each photo that was stitched was 50mb to begin with. On my old Mac book pro I had time to refill a drink and maybe make a phone call. On the iMac Pro it can still take a minute if there are about ten images. On a side note my iMac Pro is headed t the Genius Bar today because it won’t power up. I definitely recommend buying the Apple Care package. Q: 6. Are there any Imac pro owners who are editing 4k with gh5?what are the optimum specs for editing GH5 4K?thank you

A: Hey Kenny, I am editing 4k video from my Sony A7Sii with the new iMac Pro on FCPX 4.1. I don't have gh5. I got the maxed-out 16 processor system and I have not had any issues. I have background rendering selected and everything works smoothly. Best of luck!

Q: 7. what is the mah?

A: Capacity for the NewerTech 95W NuPower Battery Replacement Kit for 15" MacBook Pro Retina (Mid 2012 to Early 2013) measured in mAh has not been provided by the manufacturer.

Q: 8. what are the parts that can be upgraded later

A: I upgraded from a iMac (late 2012) to a iMac Pro (late 2017). I would recommend purchasing a fully loaded iMac Pro that will meet all your needs now, and in the distant future. From my research, once the iMac Pro is constructed, it is sealed in such a way that a authorized technician will be required to minimize any damage and put your warranty in jeopardy. It appears you can have RAM upgraded, but it is not as easy to install, as in previous model iMacs.

Q: 9. Why does it say "(Late 2017)" in the title of the description?

A: Late 2017 is the year and time frame the computer was announced and released.

Q: 10. Can the 27 iMac Pro with 1 TB SSD be reconfigured to 2 TB SSD in a couple of years?

A: Possibly but I personally would get an external ssd much cheaper. I Vesa mounted my iMac pro on the wall above my main monitor and an external drive behind the iMac on the wall out of sight with double sided tape

[11.4 VDC] I have been editing on a 2013 Mac Pro since 2015. With 4K and beyond on the doorstep, Thunderbolt 3 and faster, better GPUs have become critical. The extra cores, Tbolt 3 and big GPU did not disappoint

[Lithium-Ion] Mac runs for as long as it could day one! Easy to replace and kit came with everything needed. Screen died not too long after the repair so can't speak to the battery's longevity.

[1.825 lb] This was purchased as a replacement and upgrade for an older iMac. I wanted a new computer for faster video and photo editing, and I have to say I'm not disappointed. The display is great. Only issue I have so far is that an old monitor (a Dell U2410) that I was using with my old iMac doesn't seem to work with it; I suspect due to age.

[1.825 lb] I strongly recommend you watch the video tutorial instead of the guide that comes in the kit.

I wasn't aware of the contents of the kit, but you do get everything (minus acetone) you need to complete the battery removal. I thought I'd only get the screw drivers and battery haha

I've never taken apart any computer, ever and once I removed the back panel revealing the inner components, I did have a slight instance of panic haha. I found it hard/confusing to follow to guide included in the kit, but was a breeze when I switch to the video tutorial.

Be sure to set aside 3 hours to complete this task. I have a toddler so it took me about 5 hours. Once all the parts are removed, just keep track of it all (I had labelled ziplock bags with screw and parts) and putting it back will be a breeze!

I am beyond satisfied with the battery so far!! I'm actually using it comfortably right now. It for sure beats having to stay plugged in all the time and panicking each time the cable falls out from the magsafe lol

Bonus: my laptop is running even faster than it did before. Feels new again!!

[1.825 lb] Finally we have a professional level offer from Apple. Our studio has mostly switched to PC builds for all of our 3D and composite workstations, but the editors were the last to let their macs go. Now they can stop complaining (lol). Thanks to B+H for having this build at the ready as it would have taken weeks to order it from Apple. Saving on the tax was pretty great too.

[11.4 VDC] Battery mails with everything you need to install it. Instructions are easy to follow and include links to pictures/video if you need it. Can't speak to how many cycles it will endure before capacity starts to fall off, but higher capacity than OEM battery is a good start.

[1.825 lb] It was very easy to follow the video and replace the old MacBook Pro 15 Retina battery. I used a nylon string to remove the adhesive stuck to the laptop and battery instead of the included gum removal liquid sent with this product. Entire replacement time was less than an hour.

[Lithium-Ion] Beautiful screen and excellent speed. Still migrating files and completing setups, but very impressed so far. Of course, I'm coming from a Mac Pro 2010. However, right now it's everything I expected and hoped for. Better be for the price though.
