You can change the stops that it reduces between 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 stops.

Q: 7. Why no tripod collar? Is there an aftermarket one that will work. It is really front heavy for gimbal use.

A: Unfortunately there aren't any options to add a tripod collar to this adapter. The other option is to get a longer plate for your Gimbal to enable sliding the camera further back.

All of the adapters appear to have the same base features yet the ones with extra features (eg w/ filters or w/ control ring) cost less than the one without. The basic adapter is $399 while the one with an included polarizer is $99. Thats a lot to pay for less than 1oz less weight. There must be some other difference not described. Can you clarify? A: It appears this pricing is incorrect. From numerous sources I've seen, this adapter should be priced at $99.99, with the control ring version priced at $199.99. The two with drop-in filters should be priced at $299 and $399 respectively, with the more expensive version having a variable ND filter vs a circular polarizer.

[Dedicated] I have only tested this filter on my Lifepixel-modified Canon R6 (v1), but I like it already. It produces some really interesting color combinations that my other Lifepixel IR filters do not. Samples below are with custom white balance in-camera. 5

[Aluminum] I use a wide range of lenses, from cheap primes to large zooms, and my filter sizes vary across the range. With these clip-in filters, I can attach ND filters and shoot video with both RF and adapted EF lenses with no issues. This 6 stop ND was perfect for shooting a music video outside in sunny Los Angeles, and the 1/8 Mist had just a hint of glow to highlights without killing the contrast. I own all three 1/8 mist (0-stop, 3-stop, and 6-stop), and I have one in my camera at all times. Looking to try the 1/4 mist at some point to compare. 5

[5.2 x 4.6 x 1"] OK if you are not sure if you will use it don't buy it. But if you have a full spectrum camera, this is one of your filters in your IR, UV filter set. Color IR is not for every one but it can be a blast if you find a way to understand what this filter can do for you. 5

[5.2 x 4.6 x 1"] Picked this up for use on my Canon R5C and I'm very impressed with the overall build quality. This is my first product by Kolari, but they have been on my radar for years with the Infrared conversions and magnetic filters they make. Happy to say this adapter and drop-in filters are very well built. The auto-focus features and communication with lens to camera has so far been perfect with my Sigma EF lenses, so I'm very pleased with that. The filters themselves are super clean and do not appear to have any color shifts or aberrations. And best of all, the control wheel for the VND is actually the right amount of resistance! Doesn't budge if you bump it (like the Canon brand one), but smoothly spins when you need to adjust it. At this price point, I'd recommend this kit over the Canon OEM alternative all day. 5

[Dedicated] This is not a filter to have just for fun. First of all it requires you to have a Full spectrum conversion on your camera. Second of all it is for a very specific use and its price is no joke, so if you don't need it I would spend my money on something else I would use more. But in my case it's been a blast. I will use a lot more my converted camera now that I have it, and just getting started with experimenting out of the users manual I have a lot of ideas to work on with this filter. The filter only lets through UV light so exposure compensation is required and even under bright sun you will more than likely shoot on a tripod, with high ISO using slow shutter speeds. This filter is a tool, not a toy. 5

[Aluminum] I love the colors; the filter snaps into the Canon adapter and fits snugly. The Vari ND wheel spins somewhat freely, similar to the canon version. I wish it had some more tension on the wheel so it would feel more solid. But in no way effects the performance, it's superior to the canon in my opinion. 5
