Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. For the photographers that use this on large group shots. Do you feel one light/umbrella is enough for groups up to 30-40 people?

A: I used it for groups of 8 of less worked great. Used one speedlight and from the left side of group. Mite work for rows of 15 using it in the center. For larger groups I would try using it in the center moved back with 3 speedlight braket (Lastolite TriFlash Bracket by Joe McNally B&H). or 2 umbrella's one on either side.

Q: 2. Can this work with R- and Q-band receivers simultaneously? The 1/2 wave antenna only supports either R or Q band.

A: The Sennheiser EW-D ASA covers the Q, R, and S frequency ranges, from 470 to 694 MHz. The limiting factor in terms of frequency range would be the antenna used.

Q: 3. Can I use this system with the 1/4'' and 1/2'' antennas? I don't really need the very big antennas. Thank you

A: You can use B&H # SEHALFWAVEDQ for compatibility with the Sennheiser EW-D ASA.

Q: 4. Will this work for the EW-DX systems? The description says ED-D.

A: Yes, the Sennheiser EW-D ASA 4-Way Active Antenna Splitter with DC Distribution for EW-D Wireless Systems is compatible for use with Sennheiser EW-DX EM 2 Two-Channel Digital Rackmount Receivers. The EW-DX EM Receiver is the two-channel version of the EW-D Receiver, which is singe-channel.

Q: 5. This is backwards compatible with G4 systems right? I know that you need this for the EW-D series, but from what I'm reading this unit will work to combine existing G4 or G3 units as the previous model did as well...Right?

A: Yes, the Sennheiser EW-D ASA 4-Way Active Antenna Splitter with DC Distribution for EW-D Wireless Systems (470 to 694 MHz) is backwards compatible for use with the Sennheiser EW G3 and EW G4 series wireless receivers.

Q: 6. Bundle 5 says, "It also provides DC power to the four receivers, for less clutter in your rack." Is this true? How?

A: The EW-D ASA is able to provide power to connected receivers via the BNC antenna connectors.

Q: 7. Hi pal. Is the ew-d asa backward compatible with the analog A, B and G ew frequency systems?

A: Yes the Sennheiser G4 EW-D is compatible with G3 systems that function in 470 to 694 MHz.

Q: 8. Does the Roam 2 need to be connected via WiFi for the Sonos app to control it? Can you use Bluetooth?

A: Yes, the Sonos Roam 2 (Black), B&H #SOROAM2BK, must be connected via Wi-Fi for you to be able to control it with the Sonos App.

Q: 9. How well does this work with a single speedlight?

A: A single speedlight will fill most of the umbrella as long as the zoom on the speedlight is set wide (24mm is sufficient) and the speedlight is about 8-12 inches from the end of the umbrella shaft.

Q: 10. Is this the replacement for the ASA-214 which appears to have been discontinued?

A: Yes B&H # SEEWDASAQRS is the replacement.

[ASA] This material is one of my hands down favorites. The color intensity is truly a charcoal black. To me, it beats all other silk materials because of its light diffusing properties. Its rough to the touch and doesn't have the dry time CF does. Fantastic material and I will keep buying it again and again

[White] Pinky has been in my front lawn for about 6 months. This Pink is the best Pink PLA for Pinky.

[White] This filament definitely works at the higher speeds however there are some drawbacks to those higher speeds, including error rate and adjustments. I've gone through a couple rolls now, just trying to get the settings right but it does absolutely work well and fast, as it says, using all the stock settings, very impressive.

[1.75 mm] This stuff is impressive. It has a much higher tolerance for printing fine pieces. Its sand-able and workable and much more rigid than PLA. It does have some issues I'm finding joints aren't as well supported because of the fiber content versus plastic but once I engineer the model to accommodate, it works amazingly well.

[White] Polymaker is one of the best filaments out there and for sure the best company out there I can think of. They do so much good for the community so I'm always more than happy to support them any way I can.
This stuff prints like a dream.

[White] This gold is the same as any other, the color is vibrant and the silk effect works well. Polymaker tends to be my go-to for these types of base material colors because the material works well, and I have the least number of issues for the price point.

[1.75 mm] This item arrived quickly from BH Photo. It was packed well with no damage. The storage box is large and can allow 2 1kg rolls or one larger roll to be stored. It has a nice dessicant storage space and humidity guage. It is a bit pricey since you can also get a heated drier/storage box that is less money now days. I just wanted a box without the cord attached.
