Designed as an alternative to ABS filament, ASA enables you to create a wide range of items with enhanced mechanical properties while printing with a matte finish. PolyLite ASA has a printing speed range between 30 to 50mm/s and a printing temperature range of 464 to 500°F as well as a bed temperature range of 167 to 203°F. This filament supports direct and indirect drive systems with a retraction distance and speed of 1mm at 20mm/s and 3mm at 40mm/s, respectively. If you are printing a creation bigger than your fist, an enclosure is highly suggested.

Q: 1. This is backwards compatible with G4 systems right? I know that you need this for the EW-D series, but from what I'm reading this unit will work to combine existing G4 or G3 units as the previous model did as well...Right?

A: Yes, the Sennheiser EW-D ASA 4-Way Active Antenna Splitter with DC Distribution for EW-D Wireless Systems (470 to 694 MHz) is backwards compatible for use with the Sennheiser EW G3 and EW G4 series wireless receivers.

Q: 2. With this kit I need to also have the booster antenna connected or can I use it without the booster antenna?

A: The Sennheiser G4 EW-D ASA Active Antenna Splitter Bundle 5 Kit includes the Sennheiser EW-D ASA 4-Way Active Antenna Splitter with DC Distribution for EW-D Wireless Systems (470 to 694 MHz) with the Sennheiser GA 3 Rackmount Kit for EW G3 and G4 Series Wireless Receivers, and two Sennheiser ADP UHF Passive Directional Antenna for EW-D Wireless Systems (470 to 1075 MHz). This set up is intended for use with up to four wireless receivers, without the need for any other antennas.

Q: 3. Will this work with the 1/4 wave antennas from the EW-D receivers?

A: Yes, the Sennheiser EW-D ASA 4-Way Active Antenna Splitter with DC Distribution for EW-D Wireless Systems can be used with a pair of 1/4 wave antenna provided with one of the receivers. It can also be used with 1/2-wave dipole antennas or paddle style antennas for added range and reliability.

Q: 4. Can I use this system with the 1/4'' and 1/2'' antennas? I don't really need the very big antennas. Thank you

A: You can use B&H # SEHALFWAVEDQ for compatibility with the Sennheiser EW-D ASA.

Q: 5. Bundle 5 says, "It also provides DC power to the four receivers, for less clutter in your rack." Is this true? How?

A: The EW-D ASA is able to provide power to connected receivers via the BNC antenna connectors.

Q: 6. Are the antenna systems from the analog wireless systems (G3/G4) compatible with the EW-D series receivers, or do I now need to get this splitter for my antennas to work?

A: No, the antenna systems for the G3/G4 series analog wireless systems are not compatible for use with the EW-D series systems. You will need to use the EW-D ASA for EW-D series wireless systems.

Q: 7. Can two of these EW-D active antenna splitters be daisy chained so that 6 receivers can share a single pair of antennas?

A: Yes, the Sennheiser EW-D ASA 4-Way Active Antenna Splitter with DC Distribution for EW-D Wireless Systems can connect to another unit using the "RF Out A" BNC connection of one unit into the "ANT RF in B" connection of a second unit.

Q: 8. Can this work with R- and Q-band receivers simultaneously? The 1/2 wave antenna only supports either R or Q band.

A: The Sennheiser EW-D ASA covers the Q, R, and S frequency ranges, from 470 to 694 MHz. The limiting factor in terms of frequency range would be the antenna used.

Q: 9. Will my Mefoto Arca Swiss quick release plate, like PU-60, be compatible on this ball head?

A: The overall shape of the PU-60 plate will be a little different from the Joby Ballhead X plate, but the locking mechanism should be secure. The X head has an extra feature: a small retracting pin to avoid accidental sliding which may or may not work as intended with other Arca style plates. However, since it retracts fully out of the way, it won't clash and cause an incompatibility.

Q: 10. Is this the replacement for the ASA-214 which appears to have been discontinued?

A: Yes B&H # SEEWDASAQRS is the replacement.

[2.85 mm] This stuff is impressive. It has a much higher tolerance for printing fine pieces. Its sand-able and workable and much more rigid than PLA. It does have some issues I'm finding joints aren't as well supported because of the fiber content versus plastic but once I engineer the model to accommodate, it works amazingly well.

[Black] Had some other brand ABS+ that was supposedly for high speed printers, but it was warping like mad. I bought this on a whim, and it worked perfectly first time. Have yet to have a failed print with it (knock on wood).

[2.795 lb] This material is one of my hands down favorites. The color intensity is truly a charcoal black. To me, it beats all other silk materials because of its light diffusing properties. Its rough to the touch and doesn't have the dry time CF does. Fantastic material and I will keep buying it again and again
