Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. are this compatible with Sony a7 IV?

A: The Peak Design Cuff Camera Wrist Strap (Sage Green) can work on the Sony a7IV. Note, that most use a strap like that with smaller and lighter cameras.

Q: 2. I have a chunky set up of the Canon EOS R w/ vertical grip, RF 28-70 f/2 and RF 70-200 f/2.8. Will I be able to fit this set up in this bag?

A: Unfortunately not. The camera with the grip attached would be to tall to fit in the bag with the lens mounted.

Q: 3. Can this be used in water?

A: Yes this has no problem being used in the water. Just be sure that your camera can as well.

Q: 4. Will this fit a Sony VX1000

A: Yes this bag is capable of holding a Sony VX1000.

Q: 5. can this bag hold Leica M body with 2-3 small lenses and extra film?

A: Yes, the Hex Ranger DSLR Mini Sling Camera Bag can hold a Leica M series body with two small lenses and extra film.

Q: 6. is this bag the v2 or is this the original?

A: According to HEX's website, the SKU we have reflects the V2 version (HX2469-Camo https://bit.ly/3pB6Zj6) rather than the V1 (HX2768-Camo https://bit.ly/3hx1JKt).

Q: 7. Does this bag stand up independently?

A: Yes, it has a custom-molded & foam-padded back panel, which will hold it up.

Q: 8. Is this real leather? I would prefer PU leather or vinyl.

A: The portion that connects to the camera is made of real leather.

Q: 9. Will this bag hold an XT4 with 16-80 attached plus a 10-24?

A: Yes it will hold the XT4 plus the 16-80mm lens.

Q: 10. Anyone understand the positioning of padding on the top of the strap. When adjusted to my hand, it sits half on half off. For a 400 gram compact camera pad just gets in way. Is there an unpadded wrist strap you recommend?

A: For a lightweight camera this Peak Design is a great wrist strap that has a similar anchor quick release system as the Small Rig and it is not padded. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1352295-REG/peak_design_cf_bl_3_cuff_quick_connecting_camera_wrist.html

[10.3 x 4 x 0.9"] I bought this bag to carry my Fuji T-X30ii with a couple of spare prime optics and it is just perfect from size and functionality perspective. Materials are excellent and it was well thought. Really happy with it.

[Black] Just the right size for two lenses. Zippers works fine. Pouch in front is a bonus for me.

[0.115 lb] Id been waffling on this bag for a few weeks, but pulled the trigger when Id acquired a Mamiya 7II to complete my kit. This bag is currently holding a Nikon F3 + Distagon 28mm, Leica M5 + Nokton 35, a Mamiya 7II + 80mm, and in the compartments, I have a Voigtlander 40mm for the Nikon, a Voigtlander 15mm for the Leica, an Elmarit 28mm for the Leica, and a 50mm for the Mamiya. Ive thrown in a bunch of rolls, a lens cleaning kit, some pens, and its still got the room for a 15-in MacBook if Im so inclined.

When I close that bag with all this gear and there is no bulge at all, despite the Mamiya being a little taller than the rest of the camera bodies. The straps are so well designed, it sits well on my shoulders and back, and even better when Ive gotten the sternum strap engaged. Feels like Im not carrying anything!

I also bought this bag for the zone system that Hex is advertising, and I think its pretty smart and going to work out for my use -- I could see a scenario where Ill be carrying one body on me, but Ill want to use another and just sliding the bag to my front and opening that panel is incredibly helpful. The added bonus is that you can adjust the zippers to your preference (left side, right side, or top)

The only drawback (its really minor, but bears noting) for me is the internal zippers for the different compartments. While its great that Hex took extra care in creating little pockets for the zipper head, Im still worried about the closed zipper slowly scratching the camera bodies, especially the Mamiya. The solution that seems to work for now is to put gaffer tape over the zipper.

All in all a really really great bag. Its unassuming, yet stylish, and keeps a slim enough profile to not call attention to the fact that you could be carrying so much important gear. The padding is more than adequate, and it all fits so snugly.

[Yes] This is the perfect size bag for a hobbiest who wants to carry a lens or two, a battery and your phone. Works great with the smaller mirrorless cameras

[Black] I do not have the best track record for buying bags/slings for my camera gear, especially travel/walk around minimal bulk bags. However, I seem to have finally gotten exactly what I wanted and needed with this mini sling bag. Plenty of room for my Sony RX1R II camera, extra batteries, filters, lens shade and lens cleaning equipment, without extra bulk. Bag material including zippers are all first class. Plenty of zipped pockets to organize said accessories.
