The camera features a 1/2.8" CMOS sensor and outputs up to 1080p video over HDMI, SDI, USB 3.0, USB 2.0, or uses RSMP/RTSP protocols to stream video and audio to the Internet.

The camera supports uncompressed video transmission over MJPEG, H.265, and H.264 compression formats. When connected to the Internet, this IP camera allows you to control PTZ actions and monitor the surveillance area from a remote location via a Web browser. This provides you with several advantages like reduced integration costs, easy remote production and engineering, and lower cost for multiple location systems. You can also manage the unit via IP using VISCA-over-IP/ONVIF or by using its RS-232/RS-485 serial port with a separately available serial PTZ controller. You can power the camera with the included power adapter, or you can utilize your existing PoE (Power-over-Ethernet) LAN to save cable runs.

Equipped with a 20x optical zoom and a 12x digital zoom, this PTZ camera enables you to zoom in on activity in the monitoring area for a closer look, and it has a wide field of view for capturing large meeting rooms. It features an RJ45 Ethernet output that can transmit up to 1080p video to any RTSP/RTMP streaming network so you can broadcast live directly to internet streaming sites. The camera also supports 3.5mm stereo audio input, allowing you to capture and embed AAC or G711 audio with the video signal.

The files recorded on the Mixcast 4 can also be exported in 2-channel stereo WAV, MP3, and MP4 formats.

[NTSC] This camera is used in a decent sized church sanctuary. It honestly is super crisp both zoomed in and out. We are getting ready to purchase a second one because we're so happy with this one. Responds great with the joystick controller. Highly recommend if you're on a budget. 5

[5.1 to 51mm] We have dozens of these cameras across campus for web conferencing in classrooms. I like the fact they will power themselves off PoE. They work well and provide good contrast in variable lighting conditions. SDI video looks great. The hand-held remote has presets for common positions. They auto-orient themselves for ceiling or tripod mount. The web interface is a little messy, but most features can be found quickly. It does require Adobe Flash to see the web interface camera shot live (that requirement seems archaic). For the price, its a good value compared to much more expensive PTZ cameras with a lot more bells-n-whistles. 5

[5.1 to 51mm] I now have 7 of these cameras bought in 3 separate purchases. We use both HDMI and SDI and POE. All work great. I had issues converting video formats at one point and AviPas tech support responded within hours with workable advice. On top of all that - the lenses and optical zoom work great for the TV production that we use them for. 5

[0.5 Lux] This is the fifth one that I have installed in a church for online broadcast. I ordered this one to replace a camera that they had been pleased with, that is until I installed two of these AV-1280's. The image is day and night better than what they had before as a PtZ camera. I will continue to use these in the future and suggest they are the best for the money. 5

[5.1 to 51mm] This is a great PTZ camera for the money. The camera has much to offer in terms of functionality and quality. We are using it to live-stream church services. We stream on of six locations within the church - four of which are 30 - 40 feet from where the camera is mounted. The other two are 8 and 15 feet. Great picture quality at all six presets. In addition to joystick controls, the remote control, and the web-browser interface, the camera can also be operated through an HTTP API. With a little help from tech support, we are using the api with OBS software such that scenes in OBS command the camera to the appropriate preset. Tech support at AVIPAS responds quickly and knowledgeably. 5
