[5000K] I always have this on my drone now for added visibility, even outside of evening flights. There are different color options with the green and red plastic covers. The velcro mount is very secure.

[120°] The good: super tiny, ridiculously light weight, stupid bright. You'll see spots if you catch too many blinks from this thing.
The bad: or more just little design quips. To mount the light on your drone you push down and it clicks into place with the Velcro. But that's also how you turn it on. Pushing on it. So I've turned mine on twice now, I'll probably just leave it on the drone. There is no way to "lock" it in power off. Headlamps call this a backpack lock to prevent accidental turning on while being transported and draining battery. The last little design flaw is that the charge indicator light is one of the 4 leds blinking. Not at full intensity but enough it's silly. With that said I can understand these designs decisions from a price point view and a weight savings standpoint. But they are also sort of obvious to me and would be great little upgrades to a newer version. Otherwise it's a solid device from a solid company. I'd buy another if I needed to.

[120°] I shoot with a pair of DS 160 strobes. In the past I've used the flat diffuser that come with the strobe. In the waters off of North Carolina and NY/NJ we frequently have a lot of suspended partials. While the flat diffuser offers some help against backscatter - i find they also create 'hot spots'. The new dome diffuser create a more even light and knock down more of the backscatter.

[Manual, TTL] I usually use a longer arm of the same design, and really like it. This arm provides utility in some diving situations because of it's shorter length. There are several nearly, if not exactly, identical arms out there, and this one is less costly, so I rate it even higher. This is not the same as some arms called loc-line arms, and the loc-line arms are not as strong as this one. This arm is easy to use with DIY trays.

[Manual, TTL] Picked up an second battery pack for a two week photography dive trip to the Philippines and it has been invaluable for quick changes between dives.

[213 Ws] Just needed a few strobes for a film shoot. LEDs are powerful but not overbearing, no sound clicks or noise.

[120°] I bought this to do a night drone video with our grandson. He works with a local fire department and is working on a documentary of there fire season. It fit perfect on my DJI Mavic 2 Pro.

[Manual, TTL] The light from my Ds161 was blowing out shiny fish that I was trying to shoot. the diffuser allowed me to tone down the fishes shine to match the surroundings

[Manual, TTL] Nicely made, fit well, easy to use, very useful.

[213 Ws] I only bought this to have as a spare. The metal fittings are now aluminum, rather than chome-plated brass which opens up concerns over electrolysis for those of us that have a habit of leaving our systems together. I'm not sure why Ikelite changed this... perhaps to save weight and cost.


Anyway, it's just a spare, but I assume it'll work just fine.
