Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this filter work with the Celestron Regal M2 80ED Sporting Scope? Will this filter bring any improvement?

A: The Celestron Oxygen III Narrowband Nebula Filter (1.25") BH #CEO3F • MFR #93623 will work on the Celestron Regal M2 80ED Spotting Scope with 20-60x Eyepiece (Angled Viewing) BH #CERM280EDSS • MFR #52305 The 1.25" Oxygen III Narrowband Filter from Celestron yields high transmissivity by blocking unwanted longer wavelengths of light, giving higher contrast to your observation and photographic experiences. By isolating just the two 496 & 501nm doubly-ionized oxygen lines emitted by planetary and emission nebulae, while blocking the rest of the overall spectrum of light. The result is extreme contrast between the black sky background and the faint photons of OIII light needed for detailed views of the Veil, Ring, Dumbbell, Crescent and Orion nebulae among other objects.

Q: 2. Will this be a good filter to view the Lagoon Nebula?

A: Ask this question at cloudynights website it's a com address

Q: 3. This connector has none of the electronic contacts of the Ricoh GA-1 adapter, so the camera does not recognize when the wide lens is attached?

A: Correct, this does not have any of the electrical contact points like the Ricoh GA-1. However if you are using the RIGW4 this has no contact points so it is just an analog adapter so you would not need electronic contact points to use that wide angle adapter.

Q: 4. Will this filter work with the Celestron Astromaster 130?

A: Yes, the AstroMaster 130EQ uses 1.25" eyepieces, so the 1.25" Oxygen III Narrowband filter will work.

Q: 5. Does Nisi adapter allow GRIII camera to recognize GW-4 lens ?

A: Yes the NiSi filter adapter for Ricoh GRIII would allow you to make use of the GW-4 lens.

Q: 6. I already own the NiSi starter filter set for GRIII, will this adapter allow me to screw filter holder onto it?

A: This adapter is for the NiSI holder for the Ricoh GR III or a screw in 49mm filter.

Q: 7. Does it have its own remote controller ?

A: It does not come with a remote controller. You can get the Cinetics Lynx Controller as a separate item. https://tinyurl.com/3hs3kbr8

Q: 8. What side goes up??? Sticker side or chip side???? critical info yet no where to be found...

A: It would depend on which product you are installing it into. Align the notches on the M.2 SSD with the ridges in the M.2 socket. They only should align properly in one direction.

Q: 9. Hello, I want to add this as a second drive to my computer. The first one's half circle end is screwed tightly. If I buy this how will I screw it on top of the other? Thanks.

A: Is this MTS400 or MTS400S? I saw the MFR# is 400S but the pic shows MTS400

Q: 10. can this filter be used to view the flame and horse head nebula too and does it help viewing galaxies..??

A: So we really do not recommend using this filter for this purpose. It is more for Imaging, and it will reduce what you are seeing. I honestly don't recommend using a filter at all with looking at what you are going to view. However if you did want to get a filter then I would go with the Celestron UHC (Ultra High Contrast) LPR Filter (1.25 ) - Reduces Transmission of Wavelengths of Artificially-Produced Light. This camera is actually far better than the expectations I got from the high scores seen in other reviews. In fact, I also own a Canon XH A1, which is an excellent camera, but in some shots where detail is needed and light is adequate this little cam sometimes seems to exceed that excellent $4,000 camera! This cam actually does fit in your pants pocket. The battery life is very good if you use the viewfinder. I took 1.2 hours of video at a conference all afternoon from one BP-315 battery pack. The little buttons and controls are NOT hard to use with your fingers, and are intelligently layed out. The camera is NOT hard to hold because it is light in your hand. It is easier to hold than the larger Canon XHA1, for example. The camera DOES take good low light level video. One need only slow the shutter speed down. 1/30 second shutter will provide de-interlaced nice video in dark room. You can go all the way down to 1/8 second too, and there is always the built in movie light, which has increasing range with slower shutter. At shutter speeds above 60 it produces interlaced 60i video, which can be kept as is, or deinterlaced with a program. I use it with a macintosh which has free iMovie HD. No additional software was needed for me. Problems Encountered: The camera does take a little time to start up, and then a little more time to begin to roll the tape so you must anticipate and plan ahead a little for your shot. This has not been a problem for me, once you are aware.Batteries are charged in the camera, so you need to charge up your battery collection in advance of a shoot. You can not shoot with one battery while the other is charging on a separate charging unit, because there is no separate charging unit. Very nice. Could use one more thread though. Seems a little short on threading when trying to attach and remove while making lens changes in the dark. Makes me a little nervous sometimes that I will drop it during removal from the lens. Good quality though and I like having it around.

I bought this to see if it would help bring out some color and detail for my astrophotography. I have little light pollution in my area but it this thing really does what it's supposed to. I did some test shots with a colorchecker passport in regular daylight and the difference is definitely noticeable. There's a very clear boost in color and slight boost in contrast, what I mean is that they appear more clearly and saturated. It's magic! I might even start using this for some regular photography too! I have to use step-down adapters to fit these onto my lenses as I am not using it with a telescope (67mm, 58mm, 52mm). I just wish they made these in sizes native to DSLR/Mirrorless lenses! Highly recommend! Also if you are someone purchasing for a DSLR/Mirrorless camera, Get the 2 version of course, and you will need step-down/step-up adapters to 48mm. Even though 2 is not 48mm, that is the threads for this baader filter. I recommend the sensei filter adapters, cheap and very well made. In order to adapt some lens sizes down to 48mm, you might have to buy a couple adapters and stack them. I had to do this for my larger 67mm lenses. There will of course be vignetting when doing this, but its no big deal to me.

They work quite well; no halos or any undesirable behavior which I could notice as of now. They did require an increase in exposure time, but that's expected.

One of the best items I've purchased for my 140mm telescope.
The reduction in sky glow and the contrast improvement add to those Oh, Wow! moments of star gazing.

The CMOS air filter provides clean air for the Nitecore BlowerBaby, which gives additional assurance while cleaning camera sensors and lenses.

The Baader Filters have been the 'Gold Standard' for both Visual and Imaging.

However the thin film material must be carefully handled.

Just got it today and its awsome. Kind of nervous about getting it because it doesnt have a mic input but it makes up for that in picture quality. I film sports and need a light camera and wanted to get a HD one at that. So i did and this thing works great, hard to believe it was almost double the price a few months ago also You just cant beat the quality and price for this one. Problems Encountered: NONE so far!
