15 Inch Portable Speaker Cabinet

It was about time to update my 5-year old 15-inch laptop and was looking for PC with good computing power but with a bigger screen as sometimes I tend multitask a lot. I found this 17-inch LG laptop with the specifications I needed but was hesitant as I didn’t know how portable a 17- inch laptop would be. When I received it I realized this is way more portable than my previous machine. It is way lighter with a better screen. I immediately opened all the 15 tabs I am used to without any performance issues. Speakers are good but could be slight better. In general. I am pretty happy with my purchase. I was able to find a laptop with quite big screen and numeric keyboard without compromising on portability as the weight is perfect while traveling. [38.815 lb] I had experience with using the 12 and 15 inch version of these speakers earlier this year with a band I was playing in, and when the need arose for my jazz duo to play an outdoor concert, I got a pair of these. I auditioned them at home for a week, and found the sound to be expansive, clear, and full-range. I used them for the first time this past weekend at an outdoor fund-raiser concert, and they performed magnificently. For once, vocals and my partner's trumpet were clear and cut through the mix. I ported my piano and my backing tracks thru it as well, and everything sounded balanced and clean. This allowed us to use my amp/powered speaker as a monitor, so we had the best of both worlds here. I cannot recommend these speakers enough. They are extremely lightweight given their quality, which is a must for me, and while they were not cheap, they are a great value, costing less than comparable speakers of other, famous brands. The other speakers I considered were heavier and just as expensive, and I doubt they would have sounded any better. And I am considering getting a third one of these to use as a floor wedge monitor for larger venues and larger bands. I'm happy with these and if you need a larger-sized speaker, the 12 and 15 inch variety are also a best bet.

[4.3 x 4.3 x 2"] I bought a 15" PA Speaker for my kids portable Karwoke system they travel with and I have looked for several days even ordering another brand that ended up not fitting Andy sending back. The Rolling Gator was PERFECT, it was exactly what I was looking for.

[43.2 x 6 x 6"] I purchased this stand to hold a small speaker cabinet...works great. It's fully adjustable as specified. It's a little awkward to carry...I need to find a carrying bag or equivalent.

[Yes] The side pocket, situated between the two side straps, is not large enough to accommodate the power cord, but may be useful for small items, like replacement fuses. However, when the speaker cabinet is placed in the bag with the grill facing the front of the bag, there's room for the power cord and a 25' XLR cable placed on top the speaker. This orientation allows the speaker handle to be facing up, where it can be easily picked up and protects the front grill of the speaker to be facing downward and get dented from placing the bag on the floor. There is only enough padding to barely protect the cabinet from minor scratches, so i've taken the advice of another reviewer to add 1 foam padding on the bottom of the case to improve protection for the cabinet, but this will not likely prevent damage from drops or careless abuse. This not a road-worthy case, but will do fine if it is used carefully. Zippers are not attached, each work independently. There is no strap, but it is not needed for this size case. Also, with no strap hook on either end, the bag can be place upright on the floor to allow more compact storage options. It will rest on the speaker's bottom where the best position can be obtained.

[125 dB] Really natural sounding speaker in a tough but lightweight cabinet. Versatli can be a floor wedge, stuck on a stick or flown with the optional eyebolts or mounting bracket.

[0.08 lb] Needed two of these for a bass guitar extension cabinet. Very easy to build with speaker cable I had at home (16AWG works fine for a 2ft cable) and some hand tools- no soldering needed. Saved myself money and weight by not buying an overbuilt speaker cable. At $4/connector, I will probably pick up a few more to make backup cables.
