[3] 17 years of filmmaking documentary and never used this until now. Comes on every shoot for endless options. Not stoked on the plastic but found it light and strong. No brainer for any kit. Just buy it you will not regret it.

[80 W] I purchased this sound bar several weeks ago. Easy install, and at 17 wide, it fits neatly under my Samsung 28 computer monitor. Audio quality is excellent - I keep the Sound Mode setting on Cinema, as that EQ provides the most presence, along with a bumped-up subwoofer setting. My 70-year-old ear likes the CLR (Clear) Dialog setting very much. I keep the 3-D Surround setting on, and normally that stretches the apparent sound source so the tiny bar sounds like an 8-foot wide array, but I was watching HBO's Lovecraft Country last night, and I swear I heard Hippolyta's voice coming from over my right shoulder. That was fun.

[0.35 lb] You really need to have used a wide assortment of competing like lenses to appreciate the quality of this item. The main benefit of this lens is the CONSISTENCY in capturing high quality images. Captured images have a nice contrasty feel with a very balanced tonal range. This performance was lacking in a new Tamron 17-50mm vc which I used for several months. The weapons grade construction is also phenomenal. If you are on a budget, I recommend sticking with the stock zoom lens and a 35mm prime. If you reach a point where you have saved enough and are looking for a great general zoom lens then this is the one to spring for. I would just keep one prime lens and this 17-55mm and you are good to go. The downside is it is obviously heavy and very pricey for a DX lens. I would carefully choose a good used example for about $1000. Also, the metal fringe which attaches to the lens hood is prone to scratch marks or paint scrape. This has more to do with the lens hood then the body itself.

[Clear] I bought this filter for my Canon EF 17-40 F4 wide angle lense. It doesn't affect my photos but gives great protection for my lense. I love it!

[Glass] Great solution for wide lenses.I use this filter on Canon 17 mm tse and finally I dont' have to use the 150 mm filters and adapter that are very cumbersome .

[Aluminum] Good construction and suitable for wide angle lens (Tamron 17-50 mm f/2.8). It does reduce the light through the lens by about two stops so you have to use it in bright sun. It cannot be used with the lens hood attached, but that is true for all polarizers.

[1.1 lb] I use this cutter for photographic paper. I got the 18 cutter because I can only print 13 wide at this point, but if I ever upgrade to a 17 printer it'll still work. Once you get the hang of the movement and starting points it works great. I'd like to see the paper end guide (stop)come off but it captive. Not really a biggie, but for longer paper I have to mess with it a bit.

[7, Rounded] 17 is plenty wide enough for most everything I need. Used for Equine portraits etc. Up in the 35-40mm range, it's a great street lens. Not super fast, but it is solid L series.

[Canon EF] I was at first hesitant to buy this lens given its cost, thinking that my 17-40 f4 was sufficient. After reading some other reviews, however, and talking to a veteran photographer at the store, I bit the bullet and I'm glad I did. It takes a little work getting used to a lens this wide in terms of the horizontal plane and focus -- but once you do, the results are fantastic. It's very sharp, particularly at the wider apertures, with no distortion. Color rendition is dead-on. Even though I bought the lens primarily for landscapes, I find myself using it all the time. With a lens that wide, you can capture people/scenes with them unaware that they are a subject of the shot.

[Aluminum] Exactly what I needed for lighting up backstage rack drawers. Just as described.
