[Manual] I'm using a fairly heavy combo of a Canon C-300 with a Sigma 18-35mm lens and a Glidegear TMP - 750 teleprompter. That's just under 20 lbs. The Manfrotto head I was using tended to tilt forward or backward with the weight when locked down. The Smith Victor doesn't. I also like the dual control arms and the included quick-release plate. I'm using it in a fixed position but it does seem to pan smoothly.

Get more for your money 2024-05-01 09:59:28

[49 mm (Front)] Nothing against this lens at all but for $ more you can get the Sigma 18-35 F1.8 .And we all know thats why none of the Pentax lens that are between 18mm and 40mm prime lens are being sold.People know that the Sigma 18-35 f1.8 is like having a 18mm,19mm,20mm all the way up to 35mm prime lens all in one lens .And its sharper than the pentax 35mm 2.8 prime lens. Pentax is going to have to reduce the price of this lens. It makes no sense to pay this kind of money for one lens when you get better pictures from the Sigma lens and have 18 lens build into one lens that better and they are all f1.8 .

[1x Gel Filter] I have owned the Nikon 14-24mm, 18-35mm, 16-35mm and Tamron 15-30mm, this lens beats them all! It is very sharp at f4 to f10 at 12-18mm but then softens a bit from 18-24mm. Distortion, CA and vignetting are all controlled very well. The lens is well built and balances on my D810 nicely. This lens will blow you away when taking architectural interior shots at 12mm f4 most everything is straight and in focus and same goes for landscape photography, you wont be disappointed.

[21mm] Great lens. Really sharp and much better bokeh than the Sigma 18-35mm lens I have been using. The clickless aperture and focus ring have LOTS of throw, so be aware of that - I personally wanted this so it's a plus for me. Got a courtesy call from B&H to confrim the purchase, despatched same day and arrived 2 days later from US to UK so extremely happy with service.

[1/4"-20 Female] I finally ordered the Metabones Speed Booster as well as the Sigma 18-35mm lens for my Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera. I'm very satisfied so far. The Speed Booster works as advertised. It is very well built. There is a ring to control lens aperture. Also you can mount your tripod adapter so that the camera does not have to support the weight of heavy lenses. Optical quality is excellent.

[Black / Brown] I recently purchased the Pro version of this software when it was on sale at B&H and not expecting that it would do much for my “S” lenses, I was astonished at the results.  There isn’t much difference between +/- 2 on the graphs for the “S” lenses compared to a greater difference on “F” mount or my Sigma lenses.  All my lenses required some form of adjustment but it seems my sharpest lens is the Sigma 18-35mm 1.8 - still trying to understand that one.  My 2nd sharpest is the 24-70mm f2.8 yet the best performing over all. 24-70mm f4 S            -1 at 24mm 24-70mm f2.8 S        +1 at 24mm, +3 at 70mm 50mm f1.8 S.             +2 Sigma 18-35mm       +3 at 20mm 70-300mm f5.6.        +3 at 70mm 14-30mm f4 S.           +1 at 24mm The resulting graphs showed very little change between +2 and -2 for all the S lenses yet the program determined the most optimal setting for each lens tested. Overall, I find this software to be very beneficial for my Z6 camera.
