[1x 2.5" SATA] I ripped an old 1TB hard drive out of an old USB 2.0 enclosure. It was easy to install it into this enclosure. It used small phillips screws. Having a set of small screwdrivers made it a simple installation.

[Bus Powered] This is my second WD Elements SE 1TB drive. I have them both hooked up to a WDTV Live, which I use as a simple NAS and media player. They are very reliable and quiet. Even though I only have USB 2.0 ports on all my computers, the USB 3.0 interface in the WD Elements does seem to allow for slightly faster transfers than a standard 2.0 external drive. I also like the matte black finish better than the shiney finish on the comparable Seagate drives from a cleaning and aesthetics standpoint.

[256 GB] I needed an external USB-C that worked at least as fast as the Samsung T7 1TB at 10Gbps. The price was great, and for some reason, it's pink and I got it. It comes formatted in exFAT32, but it only takes seconds to change it to any other format and/or number of partitions.

[Yes] For what it is, it works great but what makes this stand out from other external disk drives is how Asus modernized it. Not exactly a humongous feat to behold but nice that Asus took the time to do so. My last portable one used a splitter and required 2 USB A ports (one for power, one for data) but my new Asus Flow Z13 only has 1 and the rest are USB C. Enter this guy and it just works. Looks great and easy to use.

[2 x 4 TB HDDs] I was outgrowing my 1 TB external single drives, and it was about time to separate my work projects from my personal. The item arrived quickly, and sported the lovely new electronic smell. Install was a breeze; as I don't have the need for RAID at the moment, I converted the drives quickly to be independent of each other, with one drive making multiple backups of the other. My system doesn't support USB 3.0, so I can't comment on the speed. But I can say USB 2.0 speeds are similar to other external drives, averaging around 20-25 MB/sec, according to the disc tests I ran. 4 months later the drive bay still runs like a charm. It is very quiet, located about 4 feet away from ear shot, and can only be heard when booting up the desktop as the drives spin up. This won't win you any awards for speed if you're doing heavy video processing. For now, it serves my purpose as a drive for my photography business, but I fear as the cameras keep increasing in MP sizes, I may need to update the desktop to either USB 3.0 or something similar, as USB 2.0 is starting to show its age (rendering full size previews of thousands of images can take a long time)!

[0.005 lb] I use this adapter to connect an external hard drive to my Samsung Galaxy Tab S. Tablets only have mini usb ports. To use an external or any other device that uses a usb port, you'll need this adaptor. I also recommend getting an adapter that has a mini USB port on the adapter so you can keep your tablet charging while you use it with the USB device.

[7 x 4.95 x 1"] Have used this hard drive just a couple times to back up two (USB 2.0) family laptops. So far, so good. The drive is amazingly compact, USB powered, extremely quiet and cool-running. USB 3.0 capability will come in handy when I replace daughter's machine in the near future. If the drive proves reliable, I'm a happy camper.
