[9.3 x 6.8 x 3"] I use a Purple SV Series SATA Hard Drive with a capacity of 2TB, which is used for IP CCTV (NVR) recording equipment. is there a stipulation how long I have to prepare a replacement hard drive? As we know, CCTV hard drives are used every day. and is there a newsletter that I can use as a parameter for periodic hard disk replacement? 5 |

[0.135 lb] If you have an M.2 SATA drive, don't just toss it in a drawer and forget about it! It's easy to put it in this enclosure and use it. Just make sure it's an M.2 SATA drive and not an NVME drive! 5 |

[TRIM, UASP] This worked flawlessly for cloning a SATA M.2 drive that I had. I didn't check that it works with NVMe M.2 drives, but others have said that it does. It got a little warm while running, but it did clone an entire 128G drive in only a few minutes. One minor annoyance is that it doesn't use an M.2 screw, but rather some weird rubber nub that I found hard to use. I would prefer a screw, but it says it's tool-free so that's not exactly a surprise. I like the push-button clamshell thing it's got going on, but the instructions make it clear that it can really mess up your cable if you forget to take it out before opening the enclosure. It also only comes with a (really short) C-to-C USB cable. But I guess it's kind of expected that you're using newer hardware if you have M.2 drives. There are a whole bunch of cheap M.2 enclosures that are notorious for using unreliable JMicron controllers that run really hot. This appears to use a Realtek RTL8210b controller, which runs much better and does actually support NVMe and SATA. I didn't physically check that it does have that chip, but others have, and you can see for yourself what firmware is provided for this drive on Sabrent's site. 5 |

[Plastic] It fits the Samsung 1TB 860 EVO SATA III 2.5 Internal SSD drive perfectly and work great as an external drive for photo editing on a Mac. 5 |

[10.285 lb] I needed to clone my failing 3 1/2 inch SATA hard drive. This dock was easy to set up and use for this purpose. Since I will probably have to copy or clone 2 1/2 drives in the future, I wanted the ability to use it with 2 1/2 inch drives too. There is plenty of free cloning software out there. I used the free version of the Macrium software which worked quickly and perfectly. 5 |

[1] Very happy with this purchase. The computer came equipped with a 500 GB SSD drive and no Wi-Fi. I added an Asus PCE-AX58BT Wi-Fi Adapter and a 6 TB WD Black 3.5 internal hard drive, both of which were relatively easy to install. I did have to purchase a SATA cable for the hard drive separately. I recommend at least an 18 SATA cable with right angle head on it. 5 |

[0.495 lb] easy to fit a new SSD to clone to original SATA drive, and now it is an extra external hard drive, using the old SATA drive 5 |

[Yes] When adding SATA desktop hard drives it is silly that SATA cables are so hard to find. The hard drive maunfacturers should include them, or as an option, when purchasing a drive. B&H comes through adain. 5 |

[20 TB] Perfect for old computer or you don’t have to go out and buy a PATA drive. I had plenty of old laptop SATA drives laying around. Works perfectly. 5 |
