22Mm Lens Canon

[Aluminum-alloy] Perfect for a wide angle lens like the Canon EF-M 11-22mm lens which I am currently using.

[5 x 4.5 x 0.2"] On a non full frame camera like the Canon 40D/450D, this lens is not as wide as the Canon 10-22mm EF-S. However, this lens gives sharper images. It is a lens that landscape enthusiasts should not do without.

[f/16] This is a fantastic lens. It's larger than the native Canon 22mm F2, so if you want the pancake experience, go for that one, but I need 1.4 at this 35mm equiv focal length, and this lens is simply great. Fantastic built, great lens hood, both metal, very good ergonomics. It has mechanical aperture ring or camera set and both work with the M (I prefer the ring). The lens has very good image quality, even at 1.4. The only minor issue is some purple fringing that is easily corrected in post. When I travel I bring my M6-II, this lens, and the Sigma 56mm 1.4, and I'm totally covered. Strongly recommended!

[Bayonet] Bought this for my EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM Lens. I believe Canon should include the hood with the lens, but that's just my opinion.

[Universal] Well made and very compact. Comfortably fits a Canon M6 II with the 22mm. My ZV-E1 body fits in it, but I don't have a pancake lens to try. Maybe that 7artisans 35mm pancake will make a neat body cap.

[Proprietary] Great alternative to Canon brand. It is well made and fits well. I use it on the Canon ef-m 22mm and I don't see any difference between the Vello or Canon. Give it a try you won't regret it.

[Bayonet] Works great, fits perfectly, and you *really* need it to go with the 10-22mm wide angle lens if you're going to do any outside shooting (which you really should). I can't speak for the third party hoods, but the Canon one is made to go with the lens, and, as such, they work perfectly together.

[Aluminum] What can I say, using the the lens at 22mm I have dark corners if I use a regular the CP on top of the UV. If you don't mind exchanging one with the other, then is not a big deal, for me, this is my main lens, and I try to keep the front element at it's best. That's why I decided on this low profile CP. The CP works perfectly, I used it for some shots in PA, they came out great, the saturation and sky were almost unreal. Build quality is excellent, better than other tiffen CP's I've had in the past. Please note you NEED to buy a snap on lens cap, it has no front thread.

[Plastic] I bought this hood at the same time I got the 10-22mm and I've found to be essential. At 10mm the lens has a tendency to flare quite a bit from side light, but this hood helps out a lot.
