2.5 Inch Hdd Sata

[0.81 lb] This is simply an excellent value to enable converting a 3.5 inch HDD to a 2.5 inch SDD.

[1x 7-Pin SATA] Just installed my first SSD, 250GB Crucial BX100, using this adapter, part no. BRACKET25X2, which included 2 SATA cables and a SATA "Y" power cable for two drives as well as the 3.5 inch to 2.5 inch adapter. The part is not only well designed, fitting the SSD perfectly, but included all the hardware to mount two 2.5 inch SATA drives in the 3.5 inch "floppy drive" slot on my old Dell Optiplex 755. Only issue was the four fiber washers that would not fit: being concerned that they were necessary, I called Tech Support and wonder of wonders at 3:30PM EDT an agent picked up the call after about a 1 minute wait! All I can say is that I will not hesitate to buy more StarTech products if this one is typical of the rest of their product line.

[1x 15-Pin SATA] Just got this from a retailer to mount 2 SSD SATA 2.5 inch drives in my desk computer. I didn't need the SATA cables this time (they were replacement drives) but the split power cable was useful. I didn't know what to do with the fibre washers in the bag of screws so went on line to the tech support chat and quickly sorted it out (basically use them if needed). Excellent product. I have been using Star Tech products for quite a few years.

[3.95 lb] Firstly I want to say that I am beyond impressed with the response time, and shipping time of B and H. This exact same product on another major retail website, that takes its name from the world's longest river ;) was going to take over a month to get to me. I bought this product on B and H (for the exact same price!) and had it in TWO DAYS! The product itself is also a great buy. If you are not looking for something that is enterprise level then this Synology server is ideal. It is a great home server to have on-prem or even off-prem to help with your personal cloud storage needs. I personally got two 2TB drives with it from SeaGate and so far the setup is working flawlessly. This does have an option for a 2.5 inch drive to be installed but you need to purchase a special adapter that doesn't come with this product. If you purchased that adapter then you could have a 3.5 inch HDD on the bottom rack and a 2.5 SSD or HDD on the top rack.

[12 VDC] This device worked perfectly for cloning my SATA HDD & SSD drives.

[3x Fans] Im buying as soon as they become available a Mac Studio Ultra but I wanted to be ready with the storage. Today I still use a Mac Pro 11 years old with internal disks. It's a fast machine but after seeing what my Macbook Air can do with video compression I decided that is time to switch. My main concern was the noise, I do have an older SATA box from OWC that I use for backup but I shut it down when is not in use due to the noise. Well, this new Thunderbay 8 is just whispering. A very well designed product, the fan probably has variable speed and my WD HDD don't make too much noise even though they are enterprise specs. One of the RAID is 3 14TB in RAID zero configuration (soft ) and I get about 750/800 MB/s , faster than when I had them installed in my old Mac Pro since SATA there was just 3Gbps . Silent fast, not too expensive . Nothing beat this. Also, everything was plug & play. I just moved my HDD from my Mac Pro to this box and they appeared on my Mac Air when I plugged the TB cable in. My only complain is the black color, it's nice but why black? This should have been the same color like the Macs are. At least the mainstream silver. Second minor complain the cable in the box is very short. Buy a longer cable when you buy the box unless your connected device is really next to this box.

[2.25 lb] SFF computer from many brands only come with a single SATA power connector and this allows using the one SATA power for 2 HDD/SSD. Easy to use and the hot-swap insert and removal functions as expected.

[1x HDMI] I am a freelance DIT, and HGST is the only SATA HDD drive that I would buy. Based on my experience, I believe it is the best enterprise drive on the market. When Western Digital aquired HGST, I was concerned that the HGST and G-Technology brand might suffer. But based on the new products from each, and continued reliability, I think the partnership has been beneficial for WD and HGST (and G-Technology).

[Bottom] This case has plenty of space and was easy to build in. Routing a SATA cable to a 3.5” HDD was the most difficult part of this build but eventually I got it figured out. The black with glass and wood looks great too.

[500 GB] Great improvement for any computer using either a 1TB 3.5 HDD or 2.5 HDD or smaller capacity.
