[0.81 lb] Used this to install a 2.5 SSD in place of a 3.5 hard drive. Unlike other adapters, this one is steel rather than plastic. It is also very inexpensive when compared with other adapters.

[ATX] I purchased this product to size a 2.5 SSD appropriately for the 3.5 HDD plastic caddy for a Dell Optiplex. I appreciate that this product comes with all the hardware necessary to mount two 2.5 drives, and to mount the converter itself if needed. While I only had one 2.5 drive to use, I also like the ability to add another 2.5 drive if wanted/needed in the future. It is also nice that the converter is metal, not plastic. Makes it feel much more solid and reliable.

[8"] I used this drive bracket to fit a 2.5 SSD into my 10-year-old desktop 3.5 drive bay. Everything fit perfectly with no problems. Comes with screws.

[1x 2.5"] Reading through reviews of various 2.5 to 3.5 SSD adapters, it seems common to have issues with adapters not fitting into certain drive bays. My first foray into these adapters brought me a flimsy adapter that would fit into floppy drive spaces but not internal HDD drive bays. This product will fit both. And beyond that, it is made of an attractive solid piece of aluminum. The transposer feels like a well-made overengineered component when in my hands. The SATA/power interface is appreciated as well because instead of placing the cable stress on the 250 dollard SSD, the cables now connect/disconnect/stress the transposer, which much less expensive than my SSD.

[360°] I acquired a 2009 Mac Pro from my sister last year and have been pimping it out with upgraded RAM, processors, a 2.5 SSD, etc. I originally purchased a generic drive sled for the SSD, but it clearly didn't fit and after doing some research, the only thing that is available (and will work) is the OWC 2.5 drive sled. I purchased my first one through Amazon back in November. Recently I decided to purchase another SSD for the machine, went to Amazon to 'buy again', and now the same drive sled was more than double the original price. So, I shopped around on-line and found the best price at B&H. I'd never purchased through them before, but decided to give it a shot. Through Amazon, the drive sled would have cost me over $50 CND landed at my door (with a 5-10 shipping time, even with my Prime membership). With B&H, it landed at my door for just under $30 CDN - it shipped on Monday from N.Y., traveled across the continent and across the border to the Canadian west coast and arrived on Wednesday (two days later) - AMAZING! Great to see someone giving Amazon a run for their money. From now on, I'll be checking out B&H Photos for all of my camera/electronics purchases.

[1x HDMI] This is a great product. I've converted a few computers from the old HDD drives to SSD drives and I use this dock whenever I need to access the data from the older drives. This is working perfectly. It is described as plug and play, and I can verify that is true. It works right away for me, no need for drivers. I connected it and it was seen immediately by my computer. This dock is also very versatile. It can hold 3.5 hard drives (HDD) as well as 2.5 drives (SSD). I'm thinking of buying some of the 2.5 SSD's to use with this for storage and back-ups, which will save me the expense of buying enclosures. Comes with a USB-B to USB-A 3.2 cable which is a nice addition. Being hot-swappable is convenient. And this might sound silly, but I like that it has a power button so I can leave it connected to my computer but turn it off when not in use. I really like that feature. This hard drive dock is working just as advertised and I'm very happy with it. [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review]

[Aluminum] Recently I had a PC die on me. I pulled the 3.5 Hard Drives and 2.5 SSD's and used the Xcellon USB 3.2 Gen 1 Hard Drive Dock to boot them on my iMac and transfer files. It booted the drives almost instantly and required no software drivers which is nice. Being able to hot-swap drives is a great addition as well. It is perfect for what I need it for. [3840 x 2160] I am a biased user when it comes to hard disks and use only Seagate manufactured units. Both the 4TB and the 7200 rpm 2TB, 3.5 versions have performed well. These two units was my first 3.5 purchase since the appearance of laptops, other purchased units were 2.5, replaceable for internal drive if needed. The price of the 3.5 4TB unit, for an external drive, was why I did not buy a more expensive 2.5 drive. Mind you I do miss the performance of the old 2.5 models with 4 GB of solid state cache; not seen in the catalog recently.

[Metal] These are great hard drives. Very high performance for a 2.5 hard drive. Of course they are nowhere near as fast as a solid state drive. But for what they are, they are pretty good.

[0.8 lb] I've upgraded two computers to SSDs with these 2.5-3.5 hard drive docks and they work great. No tools needed to install the 2.5 drive inside - just pops right in and the lid locks it in place. Drives show up in the BIOS with no fuss. Can't ask for much more.
