[Yes] I'm using this cable to run from an MP3 player back to an amp and them back out to a speaker. consiering the length of the run, I need to ensure that the signal is clean over a significant distance. The gold terminals help with the connections since this is not an indoor connection, though semi-protected. The 3.5mm plug has a satisfying snug and positive fit. The XLR's are equally exact fitting and secure. The insulation is decent and the whole cable has a nice quality feel to it. I look forward to years of use out of it.. I ordered another cable identical to this one because I was really happy with Sescom. I really liked having a cable that goes directly from 3.5mm to SLR. 5 |

[1] I purchased this along with the Rode Rodelink Lav microphone. The thread-lock on the 3.5mm connector of the lav fits perfectly with connector on the Rode VXLR+. This allows me to belt-clip (included) the converter to the talent and run an XLR mic cable back to the mixer with phantom power when needed in place of connecting the lav to a bodypack for wireless use. It also works with the non-locking 3.5mm connector of the Rode Lavalier Go mic but this combination gives more assurance that the mic's connector won't pull out of the adapter. 5 |
