[Download] I've used this scanner for photos, and also for film (negative or positive) and slides. It has useful holders to hold film and slides in place. Software is decent, although you can upgrade if you are looking for more powerful tools.

[Color] I don't understand the negative reviewers. This scanner works great, it's pretty much automatic as far as focusing and all that, and the resulting images look great. I can scan a whole batch of old slides fairly fast in an evening. I like that I can save the images to an SD card and then move that to my desktop computer. I also like that I can power it with the supplied USBC cable. Granted, I don't have any other slide scanners to compare it to, but this one works great for me and I'm glad I bought it from B & H.

[Download] The product is easy to use. Allthough the disc with the drivers did not function, I had no problems to download it from the internet. The working of the scanner is a no brainer. Insert slides into mount, push in to scanner. Press button. The software (Silverfast) takes a little while to figure out, but is exactly what I needed. I use Lightroom and photoshop for the majority of my edit word. Scanning black and white fine are work, as well as ancient family slides went well and easy. For the price I will say this is the best scanner possible. The output might not be the best ever tiff files, but with a little post production, one can make large prints that will be nothing less than very good! As I do mostly black and white work, I do not miss the infrared function of the higher end scanners. The software driven spot removel works fine is you don't overdo it. Keep it to 1 pixel, and you won't notice a degrade in image quality. On the negative side: 1.) I'm not sure how long the negative carriers will last. It is very flimsy and must be treated with respect; 2.) I'm not sure how the scanner itself will remain dust free. 3.) The power adapter is US only. Perhaps add an option, or just point this out to international buyers.

[45°] Got this especially to use with my ES-2 negative scanner. Don’t think I would use this on camera so purchased the Lume Cube mini panel.

[0.4 lb] I bought a Plustek scanner and it wasn't clear what trays came with it. It came with one negative holder and one slide holder but I thought it just came with two negative holders so I ordered two extra slide holders with the scanner thinking I would end up with two of each kind. Having two of each kind is nice when you are scanning a lot of slides because you can be loading one while the other is actually working away in the scanner. Long story short I wanted two of each and ended up with three of each. Buyer's tip: B&H actually sells a kit with one extra slide and negative holder. If you buy the scanner and you order the combo kit you will have two of each.

[Download] This is a very good scanner for scanning color negative films. The resolution is outstanding, the contrast is good enough for negatives and with the bundled software is not too difficult to get great colors.

[96 kHz / 24-Bit] Negative Supply makes a very comprehensive system for scanning film in all formats by using a digital camera and a macro lens. I needed to scan 35mm, so I bought the 35mm LED light source, the 35mm Pro Film Carrier, and the Basic Riser (to which I mounted my digital camera). Everything worked perfectly! By using this system, negatives can be scanned quite quickly, doing an entire roll in a few minutes. Mounting the camera on the riser makes the camera perfectly parallel to the film. The film carrier keeps the film flat and, combined for a good macro lens, my scans were very sharp. Negative Supply's website (www.negative.supply) has a complete explanation of the entire system, including videos on how the various components work.

[100] AgfaPhoto Agfapan APX 100 Black and White Negative Film (35mm Roll Film, 36 Exposures) - Have recently returned to film photography and couldn't be more pleased with this one. Great all around film. Also like that it's modern day manufactured film and not the expired film one was forced to use.

[D-Ring] Perfectly fit my 35mm negative sheets from Print File (7 rows of 6 frames) and sits flat when closed. Binder clasps work great, a bit hard to open though.

[11 x 7.5 x 0.5"] Using it to store old 35mm negative strips. Easy in and out of the sleeves. Not sure why others had trouble with it. Better quality than the cheaper ones. Note there is no specific place to write notes on these pages, so if you need that function, don't order these.
