[0.65 lb] This drive is really fast! It took only 1.5 hours to back up my 500 GB internal drive.

[70 G / 2.0 ms] I was astonished about this kind of "HD Black" from Western Digital. We bougth this 1 Gb device around ten years ago (maybe even before) because other cheaper disks were faulty and nearly every year.we had to change and reinstall. At current date we've been using it over 30 thousands "Power on hours" and nearly 2.000 "load cycles" as i do realise by analising disk statistics... also moving it along different desktops/mini servers along last decade!!! Also we keep care of it by using a UPS but certainly this specific disk "was born" with a good DNA!!! We hope all recent and modern WD Black series have the same duration as we're very happy for our experience... while simultaneously crossing fingers

[1x 2.5"] Does exactly what it's supposed to. I use it to connect an external SSD for use as a scratch disk.

[Active] I needed a replacement cable for an external disk and this was exactly what I needed. Works great.

[Key Lock] I had a support chat with OWC first before ordering this because of the cost involved. Wanted to be sure that I was sure that it would work with my 2019 Mac Pro. They assured me it would, so I ordered confidently. Installation was simper than simple, just lift the top, place the card in a slot, replace the top, boom. Booted, holding my breath, and it showed up in the disk utility. But showed only 8.64GB of available storage. I tried the Erase (initialize) option, Still 8.64GB. Then, went into the partition setup of the disk utility, and voila, there it showed the full 4TB (well, 3.84TB) storage. Once I claimed it all for a single large partition and then reinitialized the drive (using MacOS Extended, Journaled), all was well. I was then able to make full use of the drive. It seems funny to call it a drive, when it's actually just a thin chip on a PCIE-card. Even what you see in the picture there isn't really it. Most of that bulge is just heat sink. Amazing they can stuff that much storage onto something so small. Also a rather amazing amount to pay for a drive, but I wanted fast, non-internal storage, and lots of it, so felt the need and went for it. So far, it is behaving perfectly, is indeed fast. So after a few anxious 8GB moments, I'm relieved and happy.

[0.38 lb] I replaced the Blue Western Digital disk (WD10JPCX) in a Lenovo 310 notebook with the Black Western Digital disk (WD10JPLX).  Both are 1 Terabytes but the Black is 7200 rpm with 32 GB cache while the Blue is 5400 rpm with 16 GB cache.  The Blue failed after 2 years of use; not sure why. The Black is rated as a better disk and so far no problems.
