[32] Purchased the board with a 5995WX 64-core CPU, 256GB ECC, 2-4TB Samsung 990 NMVe, and an ASUS GeForce 4070TI. E-ATX board has plenty of room for cards. Easy to install and setup. I used Noctua fans and the temp at 70% is only 62 C. If I build another board I'll purchase this same board. 5 |

[3.8 GHz] I purchased the 64-core AMD 5995WX Threadripper to process overlapping drone images to 2D models. Prior to this I was using a 12-core AMD 5900X. The 5900 processed 4 PIX4Dmapper jobs (running together) containing 1,900 files totaling 15GB in 5 hours and 45 minutes. The 64-core Threadripper completed the same job in 95 minutes. [32 GB] If you have USB 2 drives on your older computer then stay with PNY 64 GB Flash Drives. They work and are FAT 32 formated. No Problems with these Flash Drives. I tried 128 GB Flash Drives that were suppose to work on USB 2 thru USB 3. My first file copied to them and the memory crashed and burned. I ordered the PNY 64 GB USB 2 and they are excellent. Smaller GB but always work. 5 |
