8Mm Video Tape Adapter

[f/16] I shoot live agency band video's I needed a lens that was less wide then my Rokinon 8mm fisheye. I also needed some clarification that this lens would not have the fisheye look even though it's only 2mm longer in focal length. I called B&H and got a TOYALLY helpful gentleman who took the time to verify that this lens would not have the fisheye look... He assured me. I ordered it and the next day it arrived. The day after that, was shoot day. I had to modify (VERY slightly) the opening on my D'Matte box that I have installed on the GlideCam. The shots are sharp as a tack edge to edge (as long as I was in the range I had pre set on the lens) I'm still working on my e-focus puller, but true to wide angles DOF is fairly generous just not as generous as the 8mm fisheye. The 8mm is sharp enough but can use a stop down to sharpen it up a tad. Not so with the 10mm it's a tad faster and wide open its sharper than the 8mm. Folks this is a Cine lens... So I could care less if after blowing up a still photo, from it, (you might find it less than perfect), but for HD video on an APS-C sensor'd 7d mark I.... It's BRILLIANT. Oh and BTW the man at B&H was correct the 10mm did not give a fisheye effect, but of course you get a different type of perspective distortion at the edges as you should expect from an ultra wide angle lens that is flattening out 105 degrees (or so) of coverage. A great and completely different, yet complimentary, look to my fisheye.

[Super35/APS-C] I needed a specialty lens for some creative video work recently. I looked at this and the Laowa 15mm and also the Irix Firefly lenses. Why did I pick the Rokinon? Because Rokinon makes great lenses at a better price point. Additionally, the look that I needed for this instance didn't require all of the other bells and whistles. I'm only using this lens for those shots for a specific effect. The Rokinon 8mm is a fisheye lens that doesn't show the barrel either. That's what I liked most. It is a nice and more than decently sharp for what I needed. If you need that wide look without breaking the bank, the Rokinon 8mm is the one.

[Eurorack Module] Captured VHS TAPE with plenty of problems on the tape, composite video + audio IN to SDI OUT, in to Blackmagic capture card. over two hours of capture didn't drop a frame, kept perfect sync of Video and Audio. when there where video problems on the tape, the TBC freeze the video for that amount of time. Video thru the TBC, is exactly as the source, (unless you want to change it in the proc AMP). Very Nice control software installed on windows 10 the only problem is B&H Website and the phone assistant said that the power adaptor was not included. but it is.. I bought a separate power adaptor for no reason.. (now I have one spare..)

[0.35 lb] Purchased this teleprompter as a last minute decision to video tape our executive director for a fundraising video. So, needless to say we were trying to keep costs down. We had some trouble assembling it and had to search online for directions, but once we got it together it worked great. Could have used some better directions. But B&H got it to us on time and as always are a pleasure to work with!

[0.305 lb] I used to keep my headphones that I use for video calls on my desk, and they were always getting in the way. Sometimes they'd get buried under papers. Sometimes I'd knock them off the table onto the floor. This under-desk headphone bracket solved all my problems! I mounted it under my desk using the provided screws, and now I have a place to put my headphones where they don't get in the way. I really like the padded cradle. Helps keep the headphones from sliding around on the hook. If I didn't have a wooden desk I would have used the provided VHB tape. I've used VHB tape for other things, and it holds really really well! [I received this product in exchange for my honest review.]
