[ 3.5" HDD ] The LaCie 8TB d2 external hard drive is well-built and reliable. This is my 8th LaCie external hard drive and I've never had one fail. I feel confident backing up data on these hard drives. While these are not as fast as SSD (solid state drives), they are less likely to lose data over time (SSD's will slowly discharge over time when not used and can lose data). Fast shipping by B&H. 5 |

[Aluminum] I use this external drive to backup my 8TB MacBook. It takes some time to make backups, but I'm sure it would take much longer with a slower RPM drive. Seems dependable. I love the rubberized shock protection case. 5 |
