[1 GB DDR3] I recently got the Buffalo TeraStation Essentials 8TB 4-Bay NAS Array for our small business, and wow, it's made a big difference! With 8TB spread over four 2TB drives, we've got loads of space for all our important files. Setting it up was super easy, which was a relief, and using it was straightforward, too. It's quick and reliable when we access our data, which helps everything run smoother day-to-day. Plus, it feels sturdy and well-made, so I'm not worried about it breaking down on us. Honestly, adding the TeraStation to our setup has been a great move for keeping our data organized and easy to get to.

[40 (Server)] Super easy to install and configure. I added 4 8TB drives. This is my second Synology NAS. Love their DSM OS.

[1.49 lb] Got DS923+ and was looking for really good drives. My first NAS ever. I am experienced with building high end gaming pcs. Compared these drives with Seagate Ironwolf. Same price for 8TB drives. Synology offers support for their branded drives (good or bad - no debates). Made a call to play it safe and got two of these boys. no issues - worked like a charm with absolutely no issues. They are pretty quiet. Ofcourse, if they work as advertised for years, I will be super happy. I cannot comment on the longevity yet. But out of the box, they are performing great. 8TB for me is plenty at the moment. Loving all Synology products and accessories.

[1.86 lb] My 10TB WD Red in a new single bay light blue NAS replaced a 4Tb HDD in a different 3-y/o single bay NAS. With no other changes or tweaks to my system, my Intel NUC Corei7-8955U transfers large files to the NAS at around 40MB/s compared to 9-10MB/s for my old NAS. Plus, the WD Red is so quiet that I can barely hear it compared with the loud clunking noises of my old NAS HDD.

[65 G / 2.0 ms] Works in the NAS as it should but you have to do one step before you can add it to the RAID. You need to remove all other HDD to format it, in the WD My Cloud EX4100, unless you have a stand alone setup to do so. Once formatted, you're just a few button clicks away from getting it setup on you RAID. Our last HDD was the same brand and size that lasted about 7 years at a usage rate of nearly 50 hours a week.

[2x 3.5"] This is my second nas unit. I bought this one to use as a DVR storage unit only. I install two WD 4T Red HDD's in this box. I set the HDD's up in Raid 1 configuration. My other Nas has WD Red's in them too for the last 7 years. The setup could not be any easier. you do it online at WD. using your box's ip address. This box has a transcoder for video resizing on output streaming to your playback devices.

[20" / 50.8 cm] As of right now we use it to connect to our 8TB. It feels like it will last us a really long time.
