[13.5"] It's great laptop ready to use but more power with probably a Windows Pro edition.

[Proprietary] I purchased this as back up plan to the battery because you just never know about these batteries! May never have a problem but the one time you do, it isn't good! When inside the studio or on inside location I like to use the AC Adapter because I tend to shoot a little faster and take more shots. I also like having the extra power of the cord if I am shooting HSS pretty often. Re-cycle is not a thought or consideration then! Basically it is peace of mind and a back up! For those with outdoor shoots I always take my Honda generator in case I need the cord outdoors and now with these power solared generators out and available it will be even easier to have outside power available for the AC adapter!

[12 A (Maximum)] I wound up immediately taking it apart to shorten the AC power cord to better fit my situation. In having it apart, I was impressed by the soldering and attention to detail (heat shrink even where it wasnt absolutely necessary, for example). Manufactured in China, but remember, their factories have varying levels of quality depending on whats specified by the designer, in this case Furman. This is the good stuff.

[Black] It's just a power cord, right? True enough, however, if you're like me and have held onto your groovy retro-ish Roland (and other brand) keyboards, keeping these 2-pronged cords on hand is a must. I've used Hosa cables for years, with pro and con feelings about them, mainly for the low cost, and to be sure, with some varieties, you get what you pay for. For example, with more critical audio signal path items that get more use, spend a few bucks more to up the quality factor, whether with better Hosa models or other brands. But for this power cable in particular (I bought 3), not only did I find B&H having the BEST price, shipping and service, but I also found these AC cords to be comparable, or perhaps even better, than their original Roland counterparts. The fit in the receptacle is a little snug, but once you're plugged in, I see snug as a good thing. And these cords aren't either overly stiff or so spineless as to stress the wire inside. Ha, maybe an odd thing to review, I guess, but I'm quite happy with my purchase in quality and price. NO ONE had a better deal. --- Years ago I bought a Hosa AC cord for my classic Roland D-50 and it was a fair replacement/back-up. This new batch does seem to be an improvement over the 1990s issue. Groovy Hosa! Groovier still, B&H! I'm glad I shopped around and compared :-)

[Flashlight] I bought one of these RAV Power 20,100 mAh power banks w/AC outlet about 4 years ago and it is still going strong. Powers my video camera during shoots (8hrs dead cam, 7hrs live w/zoom), charges my laptop, and will power it while the laptop is running. These are worth full price but I caught more on sale at B&H so I bought 2 more. I have the RAV 21,000 mAH model w/AC outlet. More juice but not as reliable powering the laptop for some reason and it is a bit heavy. This brick style 20,100 mAh RAV is fairly lightweight for what it is. It does take hours to charge but it runs forever. My guess would be a slow charge provides a deeper charge.

[1] Works as it should on AC power. Have not tried it on DC.

[Zipper] This case is the perfect business case for my laptop! Not only does it give me protected space for my laptop, mouse and power cord but also space for some files and compartments for other needed business items like pens, flash drives and note pads. Love it!!!

[600:1] I love my laptop, its fast and works great. My desktop is Windows 7 pro and this comes with windows 8.1 home. I just need to upgrade it to pro and I'm good to go.

[Passive] Be sure you have a battery if you want to use it without a power cord. It doesn't come with either one.

[0.175 lb] It's a power cord, and it works. What more could you want?
