[500 dpi] I have a fingerprint reader on my laptop and wanted one on the desktop also. Works fine with Windows Hello and Roboform, a secure form filling app. One gotcha is that it didn't automatically download drivers. I downloaded them from the SecuGen website. No problems.

[x P2] Last week I put the card reader to the test. I filled and downloaded a Lexar128GB Professional 3600x CFast 2.0 Memory Card. It took 5 minutes and 29 seconds to download (~389MB/s). It was amazing to watch the card download so quickly. Set Up: Connected to a 2016 (late) MacBook Pro via Thunderbolt 3. Pros: Fast, solid (robust construction) and easy to insert and remove cards, and no more cable adapters. Cons: A little bit larger and heavier than a standard reader. Comments:As stated in publication reviews, the reader does get warm. The Thunderbolt 3 cable cannot be removed from the reader. Initially, I only wanted a single CFast slot or for the second slot to support a CF card. However, as pro cameras continue to move towards CFast the dual slots will be advantageous in the future.Previously, downloading cards was a significant bottle-neck at sporting events. I do not foresee this as a problem anymore. I will provide an update in a few months.

[2 TB] So I had been using a Delkin card reader to download my image files from a Delkin Black CF Express type B card used in my Nikon Z8 and Z9. The Delkin reader has performed well and downloads them to my IPad Pro very quickly. But I’ve noticed the exterior of the reader gets quite warm. So wanting to look at other options I read the reviews on the OWC Atlas reader and purchased it from B&H. Delivery was excellent as is their norm. I’m very happy with the reader. If anything, from my perspective it appears to be even faster than the Delkin. It also is has more mass and runs cooler with the larger effective heat sink. I will keep the Delkin as a backup but my go to now is the OWC unit. Highly recommended.

[USB Bus Power] The card reader works well - I wish I knew about this a long time ago! It saves a long time sitting at a store to download pictures I want to print.

Old reader took 10 minutes to download a card. Trimmed it to 2 minutes with this reader, which is good for when on set and speed is everything.

[USB Bus Power] You get what you pay for, the transfer speed on this thing is amazing! When I first received the Sony reader I did an amateur test for speed. I took my current card and selected the first 100 images to download to the computer, these were from my 33mp a7iv Sony. With the Sony card reader it took 1 minute, 9 seconds. I then selected the same 100 images to download from my old card reader. After 1 minute, 9 seconds it had only downloaded 15 of the 100 images, wow. I cover sporting events, concerts, and other high image count photo shoots. Nothing worse than having time to read War & Peace or the dictionary while waiting for the images to download. Thank you B&H for suggesting this is as an add-on-sale to the order I placed.
