Alesis Monitor One Studio Reference Monitors

[3 kHz] I own many Reference Monitors but these are my favorite pair. The Bluetooth makes them even better. I want a few more pair.

[Yes] I was looking for a compact stereo speaker/subwoofer combination as a reference/mixdown monitor for my project studio. The Cyber Acoustics CA-3908 perfectly fills the bill! Easy setup with a unique control pod that takes little space - headphone and aux jacks on the pod are a nice touch. The sound is AMAZING - brilliant highs, balanced mid-frequencies, and a VERY responsive sub-woofer make for an outstanding listening experience! For desktop and laptop computers, this is a no-brainer; in fact, if you watch movies on your computer, this system will make soundtracks REALLY come to life! An excellent choice for my studio - thanks, B&H! HIGHLY recommended!!

[7 to 24 VDC] I use this monitor to reference live feed from the video switcher in my school news studio.  The monitor is bright, crisp, and has onboard tools that are very helpful.  The histogram allows me to dial in iris settings for each camera on the fly.  The metal exterior is pretty darn nice for a sub $500 monitor.  Lilliput provides nice added goodies such as a camera adapter, and sunshade.  The monitor is boxed very nicely.... reminiscent of unboxing an Apple product.  While some may complain that it is only 500 brightness, this is more that sufficient for studio use.  I am buying more shortly to provide studio staff additional live views.

[Attenuator/Pad] These were backordered for quite a while but for the price it was well worth the wait. I needed isolation for the small Alesis monitors I have from my good old biamp Event 20/20s...these were perfect!

[60 Hz] I have worked on a few reference monitors and have to say I really love the clarity and accuracy right out of the box on the JVC.

[1x HDMI Male] I've owned one of these monitors for several months now and now purchased a 2nd and 3rd to use in a studio with JVC cameras. The one I've had I use with my Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera in a studio and on location. It adds bulk, which if that's something that matters you may want to look at SmallHD. The other option would be using a monitor/recorder combo like the ones Atomos makes. I only needed a way to monitor my camera with the ability to check focus with peaking as well as see exposure with histogram and false color. This monitor has all those features that years ago weren't available for under $$or more. The only question is how accurate is the color of the LCD. I'll use it to check skin tones, but if McDonalds hires me to shoot a commercial I'm not going to rely on it to check the color of the golden arches. In the end, I would say this is a great monitor to use until you're ready to buy something from SmallHD or Atomos.

[N/A] Excellent sounding amp for electronic drums. I have an Alesis Command set and the bass response from this amp is terrific. My only qualm is that you cannot use the headphone input to 'monitor' your playing, while mixed in with an iPhone, etc. - either the speaker is engaged OR the headphones, not both simultaneously. Therefore, I use a second monitor (which offers bluetooth) as the music source, then output that amp to the KAT - which inputs my headphones and drum module.

[90 dB] Amazing Device! Saves so much time when monitoring mixes on two separate monitors for reference. That little "Mono" button is also amazing as you can hear the mix in mono. Idk how I did it without the Big Knob for so long. Now that I own this, I'm spoiled!
