Amplifier For Computer Speakers

[3.5 lb] I ordered a set of these Canare cables with high quality banana fittings for my B&W CM7 speakers. I am amazed at the quality for the price. These cables are very well made with the best quality materials and workmanship. Once connected the sound was great. The banana connectors mated well with the speaker terminals on the amplifier. I have ordered another set with dual spades and four banana connectors that I will use to bi-wire my McIntosh amplifier to my Klipsch Heresy IV speakers. I'm looking forward to trying them on the other system.

[1 User] It's a great headphone amplifier, but what's also nice is it has one output for monitor speakers, with a volume knob control. We send this to the powered speakers in our school's edit lab, making it very easy to adjust volume independently to the headphones or the speakers at our Instructor station iMac.

[1600 W ] I'm using the speakers in a classroom with the audio output from a projector to a small amplifier and into the speakers. The quality of the amplifier, including tone control, is important to get the most from the speakers, but they're great when matched with a decent amp. I've got no complaints at this point.

[140 W ] I replaced my active monitors with the ELAC speakers and a Yamaha integrated amplifier. Since the ELAC has coaxial arrangement of tweeter + midrange, I felt it would work fine for near field listening. I'm very happy with the result. With nothing playing, the combination of amp with passive speakers has no background hiss. My old monitors had audible hiss and non-defeatable auto-shutoff unless the playback was kept sufficiently loud. I'm using an RME ADI-2 DAC feeding the Yamaha amp. I chose ELAC's Satin White with Oak Sides to escape the all-black look of my old monitors.

[600 W] The MM7025 replaced a vintage power amplifier and gave new life to my dedicated stereo system. I have both analogue and digital sources, a PrimaLuna tubed preamplifier and B&W 702 S2 floor standing speakers, and this Marantz has proved to be a fundamental link in this chain. It leans a little to the warm side (which I like) and improved the sound of my speakers, with tight bass, very sweet highs, and transparent voices. At this prices level, I can't imagine anything better. 100% recommended.

[3' (0.91 m)] Even though I have experimented with stereo systems for almost 50 years, I had never bi-wired speakers until I recently purchased Bowers & Wilkins 603 floor-standing speakers. I was intrigued by their bi-wiring option that Crutchfield suggested could provide noticeable improvements in the overall transparency of your loudspeakers if I ran separate speaker wires to the low and high frequency drivers from a single amplifier. After doing some research, I discovered the Canare 4S11 bi-wire speaker cable at B&H. I don't claim to have golden ears, but I do want better sound at a reasonable price, so the Canare cables were interesting. However, I have to admit that to my eyes they looked sort of flimsy in the online picture, so I debated with myself about spending over $130 for two sets of 10-foot cables. Therefore, I was thrilled to discover that the two runs I ordered are not only substantial in diameter, they are professionally terminated with high quality banana cables that give me a tight fit into my vintage Audible Illusions S120 amplifier and my new B&Ws. While I can't tell you that the heavens opened and angelic choirs sang when I plugged them in, the speakers sound wonderful and I am now looking at upstream improvements in my system, including the RME ADA-2 DAC FS. My conclusion is that it only makes sense to bi-wire speakers if the speaker designer provides the option. So for me this was a great purchase. If you have speakers that offer the bi-wiring option, I highly recommending giving these a look.

[27 to 29 VDC] I was looking for a modest amplifier to power some Bose Acoustimass speakers for my PC. This amp handles that task with aplomb. I have also tried running my phone audio through using the Bluetooth feature. This works quickly and efficiently with pretty decent range inside my home.
