Apple Computer Dvd

[USB-A Female] This drive only works on newer Apple Computers. I had to purchase another DVD/CDW drive to work on my old iMac G-5 to replace the worn out drive built in the computer; I was lucky that B&H had that drive and it works fine.  I had no problems with the Apple USB SuperDrive on my new computer and will keep when I replace the newer computer (7 years old now) as the new iMacs do not have a built in drive.

[4.7 GB] I use these DVD's all the time to back up important stuff from my computer, I also have an online backup, but the dvd's are muck quicker access. I love them.

[4x 128 GB] I bought the computer with 4 DIMM modules and augmented with these (for less than from Apple) to have 6 modules of 8.

[Up to 2750 MB/s] I use several Apple Superdrives [since they are set to different regions for DVD's. Unfortunately, even with usbA to usbc adapter they all give the same error (not enough power, plug directly into computer). Most [powered] hubs indeed give enough power for the Apple DVD player, but somehow in the mac power management software, they deny these drives being plugged into the hubs. Thus valuable port real estate is devoted to one dvd player. Sonnet support has said that they are working on a software patch to cure this on this hub and presumably their larger hubs.

[Adapter] When the DVD player in my Mac stopped working I looked into fixing it. My research led me to realize this problem is easily remedied by adding an external DVD player. I also read Apple works best with Apple, so I ordered this unit and am very glad I did. It works very well.

[Slot] Great CD/DVD for my iMac. Was plug and play, as advertised at about half the price of an Apple Superdrive.

[Additional] One thing is for sure, when your computer goes down, the repair won't be cheap. I always get Apple Care and it has always paid off!

[Copper] This converter works well to connect a computer to a TV. This converter will not work to connect an HDMI source, like a DVD player, to a computer monitor. As long as you use it the way it was intended you'll be happy.

[USB-A Female] My new Lacie external DVD burner came with two USB cables in case it needed extra power. Mine did, but my Mac powerbook pro, 2.16 Ghz has only one port on each side and the Lacie cables are not long enough to reach. This product solved that issue. However, I still have a problem with the drive. Almost every other time I use it the computer defaults to the computers DVD burner, which has an optical problem. So I have to reset the Pram every time this happens in order for the computer to default to the Lacie. Shouldn't be this way.

[Black] Nice switch for Xbox, Playstation, DVD, Computer with remote. Easily jump between devices without unplugging cables.
