[0.15 lb] Anticipating a new Apple Mini I wanted to see if my hdmi TV monitor w/could work for it (it can't; wouldn't show the apple menubar etc). ... I had to do this exercise using the 2011 era MBpro I was then using which needed the old (OLD!) Thunderbolt T1 or T2 fitting that this post is all about. Oh! and I abhor Amazon so I could only source the item through other vendors. ... Cudo's to B&H and Belkin too.

[Clear] I'm using this for a set of items that I travel with: - USB A - Apple lightning cable - USB A - USB C cable - USB A - micro USB cable - USB A - Zune cable - spare ear bugs - USB charging adapter (for US type A outlets) - spare AAA batteries This case is a perfect size for this.

[Passive] This adapter transforms micro your micro USB cable into a much sturdier than Apple's original Lightning cable. It snaps on tightly, charges and transfers data well, works for both iPhone and iPad.

[Genlock] Just plugged it into the lightning connector of my iPad, with an HDMI cable it connected instantly to a projector. Seemed a bit pricey but Apple connectivity, quality, and guaranteed compatibility is worth it. A great travel accessory for connecting to hotel TVs.

[12 VDC (22 W)] Just set up my new workflow with a BlackMagicDesign ATEM 1 M/E Switcher. I brutally realized that I couldn't bring in HDMI from a Retina MacBook Pro, nor HDMI from an Apple TV (to use for convenient wireless airplay for presenters during recordings). I spent the weekend doing all the research I could to find solutions. I decided on this Datavideo scaler. It solved all my problems! Changing my HDMI output resolution via the software SwitchResX on my mac allowed me to bring a Mac directly into the ATEM without a scaler, BUT this allows me to do it with anyone's computer without the need for special software. AND it also made the Apple TV work great (set it to 1080p) AND I can now also bring in additional computers via VGA if I need to, which is awesome when I'm recording someone with a random computer of their own. I testes the VGA with a Mac (Thunderbolt adapter) and a slightly older Windows PC. Both worked perfectly, both with 4:3 and 16:9 presentations, no distortion in the picture that I could find. My workflow: I use an BMD ATEM 1 M/E Switcher with a production workflow of 1080i 59.64fps (limited to interlaced because of camera compatibility issues between the ATEM, a Sony FS700 and Canon C100). But now with the Datavideo scaler in this mix, this setup works flawlessly so far. Strongly recommend it!

[1x HDMI Male] Bought it because I needed additional HDMI cables anyway to connect a new Apple TV 4K that I purchased with these cables. For the lengths I need, I am not sure I needed these as they are pricey. But having bought them, I do see that the quality of the HDMI connector is much better than the commodity HDMI cables I have.

[Active] Bought a MacBook Pro with USB-C ports and no vieeo output. Bought with it the Apple USB-C to HDMI adapter to drive my 4K TV that I use as a montor. The Apple product was total garbage with intermittent operation, tearing of the image, and useless to do work on. Since then I tried multiple other USB-C to HDMI adapters to run the TV in 4K resolution with similar results (although the worst what the one I bought at the Apple store.) This adapter works perfectly. Rock solid image at full 4K resolution. I highly recommend it to anyone that wants a 4K monitor for a very low price to work with their MacBook Pro that has the USB-C ports only. (The 4K TV is 55 inch which I bought for about $350 at Walmart on sale.)

[> 55 dB] Highly recommend. For video: Connected Apple TV to HDMI input and output went thru SDI to the Videohub for distribution. For audio: stripped audio out and send it to the house audio. A bit expensive but I would pay more than to troubleshoot it with multiple devices in the flow. Have achieved this with HDMI to SDI and then SDI to Audio and if HDCP kicks in I had to run it thru a HDMI splitter.

[USB Bus Power] This thing is a god send. If you're having problems getting Apple TV or MacBooks to show up on projectors or getting blocked at HDMI distribution amps ... this is your solution.... turns off the HDCP compliance tag that Apple products transmit. Awesome product!!!
