This docking station was easy to set up. The quality of it seems to be nice and the docking station looks premium. It seems to be working flawlessly for what I need. I really like that it is light and works nicely with my Chromebook and 2 monitors. The packaging comes with UD-MSTHDC Docking Station, power adapter, USB-C and USB-C cable.

Plug and play driver installation via Windows Update; manual driver installation on macOS. Dock does not charge host PC. I have already recommended the Plugable USB 3 Universal Docking Station for Dual Monitor to many of my friends and family and several of them have already purchased and used this docking station to manage their dual monitors quite easily and they all love to use this device.

[Aluminum] Bought this in combination with a Kanex iAdapt 6-in-1 Multiport USB Type-C Docking Station for 11 & 12.9 iPad Pro to secure files while I travel Works well. Two things to avoid disconnects onthe iPad: (1) Disable the Unattended auto-lock feature. (2) Activate Lock-override mode.

[Extended] There was some confusion on my part activating my new iPad so I called Apple support and though the tech was very earnest, she couldn't solve my trouble. After a long time on the call, she passed me to a senior tech who brusquely said the iPad was defective and send it back to the seller (!?). I did get an appointment to visit Apple store to see genius for the following day. The next morning I decide to call Apple support one more time. That tech knew exactly what the problem was and had the iPad activated in minutes. He also sent me some links to user guides for the iPad. So an hour trip to the Apple store wasn't needed after all.

[2.605 lb] This works just as well as any other docking station I have used, and it looks nice. The size is great because it is easily hidden.
