[Scissor] I wanted a wireless key board with the numeric keypad...I do a lot of date entry. Chose the Apple product over others because of past experience with Apple products. Also looked at other manufacturers and customer comments...this clinched my decision to buy the Apple product. It is a great keyboard and meets all of my expectations. One thing to note, previous Apple keyboards have tabs underneath that allows you to tilt the front of the keyboard up...this keyboard does not have that feature. I put a small piece of wood under the key board to tilt mine up.

[1x Lightning] Basic apple keyboard and mouse but now you don't need batteries. Sort of retro to plug-in the keyboard, but it comes with a cable that doesn't seem to get in the way, so no problem. The mouse needs charging about once a month, also via thunderbolt.
