Product - The Eve Energy Outlet arrived in new condition in unopened retail packaging. The package includes the outlet, faceplate, and wire nuts for installation. Installation - You will need a neutral wire in order to successfully install the Eve Energy Outlet. The device itself is thicker than a regular outlet, so a shallow electrical box won't work. A regular or deep electrical box is best. Follow the included instructions and you should not have any problems. Setup - After the Eve Energy Outlet is installed and power has been turned back on, the device can be paired in the normal way for your home automation system. I'm using Apple Home, and the pairing through the Apple Home app is as simple as taking a picture of the pairing QR code. The device is initially created as a group of two outlets in Apple Home. Turning the device on / off changes the state of both outlets. You will need to ungroup the device in Apple Home if you want to control each outlet individually. The buttons on the front can also be used to manually turn the outlets on / off. They are somewhat small and will be very difficult to press when both outlets have something plugged into them. The Eve Energy Outlet responds very quickly to requests in the Apple Home app to turn the individual outllets on / off. It has never dropped out of the Apple Home system, and it reconnects quickly after power outages. Speaking of power outages, each plug in the outlet will return to its prior on/off state after a power interruption. Overall - This is an excellent smart outlet with solid build quality, quick response times, and a straightforward / easy installation process.

[1000 G / 0.5 ms] Great little box for a firewall appliance. I have been running pfSense on mine without hiccups. Installation was trouble free and, so far, it’s been powerful enough to run Suricata and pfBlockerNG. CPU temp stays between 45 and 47 F. A bit noisy at startup, but silent during operation. Also tested Sophos UTM and it was fine with it. Highly recommend.

[8.5 ms (Read)] Bought this for a small NAS to replace the failed drive. Easy swap, the appliance recognized the drive properly and began rebuild. Drive came as advertised, hopefully it will last many years.

[Black] Two of these digital preamps were used in the construction of my first surround sound microphone array internet appliance. The first stream from the appliance using this preamp went online May 15, 2011 and will be available very soon at @. I have been operating these preamps for 24 hours straight and they are working great. The construction of the unit appears very professional. Operating at about 44db of gain, there was little noise in the stream. However going from 44db to 48 db, the amplifier noise became apparent. If you are looking for a low cost, high qaulity preamp for your computer, this is the preamp to buy.

[11 lb] Added this 1U appliance to my rack and now I can see into areas of the rack that weren't well lit previously. I also appreciate the RED light feature which still illuminates the devices in the rack. Another great addition to my rack.

[Passive] This was an excellent choice to replace an older VPN appliance and use more modern cryptographic standards. The web user interface was easy to use to configure for my network and VPN tunnel.
