[Yes] I have installed it on my Asus gaming laptop for game storage as a second M.2 and it is really fast and even without heatsink, it doesn't get hot. I am considering now to buy a second one with 2TB for game storage and makes the 1TB version the primary one for the OS, as it is faster than the pre installed Samsung ssd. 5 |

[G-Sync] Another excellent product from Asus. Plays everything I have thrown at it. Has performed without issues. Only thing is that the 2TB for the drives are raided together so that there is not a free m.2 drive slot to upgrade. I went the external m.2 2TB drive route and it working well as a game drive. I upgraded the RAM to 64 MB so hoping to keep this beast for a while. Upgraded from a Zephyrus M16 4070 and really notice the difference. My 6th Asus Laptop and I intend to keep up the tradition. 5 |

[16 GB] I am learning to enjoy my ASUS 15.6 Vivobook. It is a replacement for my nearly 14 year old laptop that has seen better days. I am on a limited budget, but I didn't want mediocre specs that would be outdated in 6 months. I do mainly internet browsing, some productivity work (word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, etc.), some low intensity gaming, and on occasion some video editing for my socials. Bottom line - You should probably get one while qtys and pricing are good. Pros - It has the specs I wanted (i9 CPU, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD) at a great price. More than enough computing power for gaming, casual internet browsing, and the occasional homework/essay. It included FREE 2-Day Shipping - I am on the West Coast. Screen colors are vibrant, keyboard is keyboard-y with backlit keys. The laptop itself is not the lightest out there, but is hardly the boat anchor ROG ASUS I still own that is on its last legs. It's offered thru a reputable dealer. Cons (ish) - Only 1920x1080 resolution and no touchscreen. I haven't really encountered any other negatives so far. It's been a while since I purchased MY own laptop. To be transparent, I have helped recommend and even purchased several laptops over the years for my family and friends. My previous-current laptop is a still-running ASUS G51J (i7 CPU 1st Gen, 6GB RAM, 500GB 2.5 HDD) - battery doesn't charge, but still works plugged in. I purchased it from B&H also circa 2010. Being a frugal tinkerer myself, but wanting the best value for my budget, I researched and compared several buying sources including big box stores, national (U.S.) retail chains and even Amazon, but I still chose B&H. Even though I am on the West Coast, I still found value in the products they offer as well as the service and buying experience. Did I mention FREE 2-Day shipping from the East Coast (NY). Hope this review helps. 5 |

[Dedicated] The Asus ROG Strix Scar 16 is a top-of-the-line gaming laptop that boasts both excellent performance and striking aesthetics. With a powerful 14th Gen Intel Core processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 GPU, it can handle even the most demanding games with ease. Additionally, the display delivers vivid visuals and a smooth refresh rate. Although not my favorite feature, the dazzling RGB lighting adds a touch of personality. While on the heavier side, the overall build quality is impressive. Although still not quite on par with the Zephyrus G16 build quality, the Scar 16 more than makes up for its build quality with approximately 20% more performance over the G16 and the ability to further upgrade the RAM for even more performance. If you're looking for a gaming laptop that offers both style and substance, the Asus ROG Strix Scar 16 is a great option for a portable desktop replacement. 5 |

[8.995 lb] I was looking for a good gaming laptop from Asus and found this one on the B&H website. It was featured as best overall for that price range. I paid more than what B&H are asking for it now. The Asus F15 Tuf Gamer plays all my games on the highest settings and I'm getting a constant 60 to 144 FPS. I purchased an additional 1TB SSD and installed it with no problem. (do not format the SSD) The system will recognize it. The sound is great, the dual fans are quiet, even on Turbo. The colors are realistic and my games and photos really look good. This laptop is more powerful than the best gaming consoles with it's I7 CPU and embedded GTX 3060 graphics. I'm glad B&H dropped the price and made it more available for consumers looking for a good gamer. It is built to military specifications and can stand moderate falls if you drop it. Note: It does not come with a DVD drive or memory card reader, no problem: you can get those from B&H for a nominal price. Highly recommended. 5 |

[12 VDC] I searched and researched for the perfect NAS unit. I finally settled on the QNAP TS-1655 because of unlimited options of future upgrades like maxing out the RAM memory to 128 GBs, the 2 M.2 hard drive ports you can designate to the system cache, not to mention the 16 hard drive bays. I already added 2 Samsung 1TB 970 EVO Plus NVMe M.2Samsung and 64GB of RAM memory with plans to add 2 more to max out the four memory slots on the QNAP TS-1655 16-Bay NAS Enclosure. I am very happy with this purchase. 5 |

[16:10] Powerful laptop with the latest top mobile CPU and second from the top GPU that Intel and nVidia have to offer in mid-2024, it has operated well for me over the last month that I have owned it. Today I upgraded it by adding a 2TB Samsung 990 NVME M.2 SSD into the "SSD2" location on the ASUS MB and it initialized and formatted flawlessly in Windows 11. So I now enjoy a total of 3TB storage, with the original 1TB Hynix M.2 SSD acting as the boot drive (drive 0; "C" drive) and the new drive as secondary storage (drive 1; "D" drive). With the 32GB of DDR5 SODIMM RAM this laptop far exceeds the performance benchmarks of my 9-year-old Skylake desktop in capabilities; except the ability to run cool and silent. I've noted that the CPU temperature does max out under heavy gaming, but it hasn't noticeably affected gameplay [ESO only]. Alas, in my limited experience with laptops, they just never seem to handle peak loads without hitting thermal limits on the CPU. I may have to invest in one of those cooling devices I've seen that support the laptop and dissipate some of the heat produced; but I probably won't do it unless I actually see a problem or get tired of the fans spinning up to top speed (they can be loud, but headphones help). One or two performance cores have hit 100 C [using hwmonitor] max. So far I have no complaints. 5 |
