Atomos Studio Recorder

[0.04 lb] This is much better despite being just fabric compared to leather like material of the atomos ninja. The Atomos Sunhood is so long that you will struggle to operate the external recorder. Also the atomos needs to have a clamp on plastic frame denting your external recorder every time you put it on. The 8Sinn doesn't obstruct your finger to adjust settings, is light weight, it has straps that velcro into place without damaging your external recorder unlike the $134 Atomos ninja recorder. This 8Sinn unhood needs a Smallrig cage to be attached to the atomos recorder in order to have a place to strap.

[Windows ] Buying this one for transfer video clip from Atomos recorder to laptop and having no problem.

[LEMO (SMPTE)] I bought the Atomos XLR breakout cable for use with a Shogun 7 monitor/recorder/switcher. The breakout cable does not come standard with this, nor other compatible Atomos devices. This cable facilitates use of a professional (balanced) audio source at -10 to +4 dB line levels, as well as a balanced, line level output. This signal is automatically synchronized with video recordings from up to four sources (Shogun 7). I normally record using 4-6 microphones, and plan to feed a 2-channel stereo mix to the Shogun.

[9 x 5.45 x 0.9"] The most efficient way to shoot with an Atomos Recorder is with a large outboard battery, such as a V Mount style battery through these D-Tap cables.

[3.0 lb / 1.4 kg] It's a simple all metal design. I have it attached to an Atomos Sumo monitor/recorder and I really like it. When hung up on a C-stand the distance from the pole is very to the back of the screen is very short, which I like! So it's pretty much as small as it can be so it takes less space in a case.

This is the best field monitor period!. I own the ATOMOS Shogun Inferno (1500nits) and its a recorder, but the image quality and the 2200 nits of the 7¨Small HD are...incredible, the OS works like a dream. If you are looking for a field monitor, this is the one.

This is the solution I was looking for to synchronize my zoom F8 recorder with my Atomos Ninja V recorders the range is at least 250 m or better.

[1/4"-20 Male ] I use this to mount an external Atomos recorder but it can be used for other things, obviously. There is some confusion over what size the ends actually are. I looked on 3 different sites and 2 of them said both ends were 1/4-20. Actually one end is 3/8 and the other is 1/4-20 but it comes with an adapter to put on the 3/8 end so you can have both ends be 1/4-20 (standard tripod/camera size). I didn't know this when I placed my order so it was a nice surprise. Hope that helps.

[Passive] I bought this cable to go from my Canon 5D3 to my Atomos recorder. It's really small and light weight. Unfortunately it was too short at 12 inches. I returned it for a Zacuto 18 which is the perfect length.

[Purple] I'm using this with an Atomos Samurai, hard disc recorder coming off of SDI. The Canare cable works like a charm. Also has good solid connectors, the best I've seen.
