[3 x 2.8 x 2.25"] I have a few of these. They work great for a small recording studio setup to protect against table bumps. Good price, good gear. 5 |

[70 Ohms] I have a home recording studio and there is a synth (Korg 01/WFD from the 1990’s) that always gives me a slight hum noise. The humming is faintly low but enough to bother me, especially if I’m recording; for example, if I’m just playing the piano nice and mellow, instead of an entire sequencer with multi tracks in a song, I can still hear that hum. I have a small Mackie mixer, nothing fancy, but it’s very sonically clean as far as audio output. Connecting the XIT-600 in the mixer’s XLR output solved that annoyance on that particular scenario and now that hum background noise is gone and took care of 1 channel. I only have one of these. Now I need to get a second XIT-600 as I record in Stereo. I also recorded / tested the output audio from my mixer to a Tascam DR100 MKII and a professional field recorder such as the Sound Devices Mix Pre-6, which is an unit that is utilized by many boom operators to record audio in many movies. If you deal with more pronounced hum or ground looping issues, since I can’t reproduce that kind of nightmare in my studio, I can’t comment on that. Like I said, for reasonable, typical humming issues, the XIT-600 will do just fine. But loud humming, bad cables or what have you, it could be anything causing that hum. If the XIT-600 doesn't solve the problem, you might have to get something bigger and more expensive perhaps. This one worked for my needs. [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review]. 5 |

[0.575 lb] As a recording studio owner and engineer, I needed producers to be able to hear clear audio over long distance telephone land lines. I can now have voice over talent come in to record and the producer can be anywhere in the world. For $...it was well worth the investment. It will pay for itself in one voice over session! 5 |

[0.9 lb] We use this mic in two venues on our church campus. One is in our Audio/Video recording studio when we are recording live sounding videos for YouTube or Facebook. The other is as overheads for our cymbals within our drum booth. In both application they perform exceptionally. 5 |

[16] I have used this for documentary work for 2 years. It has been with me to in the studio and brought along to interviews in a shoulder bag approximately 50 times. What I dislike is the weight. It's heavy when I go one-person-band recording. I worry (and expect) every time that I will have a tube issue or some problem associated with having moved the unit out of my rack kit for setup elsewhere. Cross my fingers that it's never given me trouble or had malfunctions. The manual was easy to read and follow. This is one of the best differentiators in terms of quality in my kit and has attracted talent because the sound is leaps and bounds above client expectations. I like that I have everything in one spot for a subject of any range (quiet and shy, loud and booming) with total confidence that I can get an archive-quality recording. I have recorded into various pro recorders and ENG or compact cine cameras with it. In the future, the size and tube-only operation has led me to explore other options such as Twinfinity and Grace preamps. I will second another reviewer that Universal Audio's changes seem to depart from the tradition of this old company. I have the whole thunderbolt-powered Universal Audio Apollo 8p racks at the home studio. They are not reliable like this unit, for me. It seems like the software-based mic pres always have some annoying issue or update. I have not taken this in for a warranty, given that it's worked without trouble. 5 |

[Yes] I run a professional recording studio and I recently started working with clients doing a video podcast. They needed to be able to take callers, so I researched the best way to get audio into and out of an analog phone line. This box allows you to record an incoming caller without the outgoing audio. It also allows you to send a line level signal to the phone. It has worked flawlessly so far. My clients are so happy with the results that I purchased a second interface to allow them to take callers on a second line. This is THE professional solution for interfacing audio to and from a phone line. Before purchasing the first unit, I called JK Audio to get some pre-purchase advice, and their tech support was exemplary. A highly recommended unit and company. BH were great as usual - fast shipping and handling and fair pricing. 5 |

[Precut Foam] I use this for web audio/video. I upgraded from the H4 (which I really liked.) This thing is way better. The external knobs alone are worth the upgrade. The sound is pristine. Even when boosting the audio, there is no hiss. I no longer need to use noise-removal during production. (Assuming a quiet recording environment.)It is also EXTREMELY east to use. No more drilling down through the menu to adjust your input. The mic options are great as well. Both have many uses and sound great. I still prefer the stereo mic for most projects. I also use it for creating video how-to's with Camtasia. The sound is far superior to any headset I've tried. I haven't had an opportunity to use more than 2 inputs at once yet, but looking forward to giving this a try during a multi-mic, live recording. You may not find this in a pro recording studio, but if you are an indie film maker, ENG, web video/audio, you can't go wrong. It's a studio in your hand. Kind of wondering why they put it out before the accessories (power, remote, etc.) came out, but oh well. I'll definitely be picking up the remote and power cable when they come out. 5 |
