[Yes] Trying to find a sling that could stow a 16 Macbook Pro and camera gear was a pain, but this bag does it. I didn't want to go the backpack route because my primary mode of transit is subway rides, and you end up having to sling/unsling a backpack there anyway. This is a little more compact than a backpack. Has side access, so you can swing it around front, unzip, and deploy the camera. The rolltop is nice for stowing a raincoat or sweater as needed. I haven't used it as a weekender bag but imagine it would make a good all-in-one bag for light travel. Very durable material, water resistant, and plenty of pockets and customizable inserts. It's definitely not an EDC - you'll still want something smaller if you're doing a photo walk or doing street photography - but for schlepping into the office, working part of the day from a cafe, or going on a larger on-location shoot, it's perfect.

[Yes] I used to have a backpack for my camera gear that was a sling bag and it always made my shoulder hurt after I had been carrying it around for a while so I decided I needed to get a new one. This was a perfect choice for me. It's pads are comfortable I can get to my equipment without having to ask people to hold things that are in the way and it also has just the right amount of room. And if I decide I want it to be a sling bag instead, the straps are movable and let me do that. It also comes with a rain cover, which while the contsruction of the bag is pretty sturdy makes me feel better if I'm out in the rain or bad weather. I'm very happy with this.

[Black] I was looking for a good way to have fast access to my camera and still keeping it safe while hiking and traveling. This device allows me to carry the camera clipped to the shoulder strap of my sling bag (a Thinktank Turnstyle 20 v. 2) and also works on the shoulder straps of my bigger backpack. The carrier attaches securely to backpack strap with a built-in adjustable webbed strap on the top of the carrier (which is barely visible in the photos). The web strap is threaded through an accessory buckle on the backpack straps. The rear velcro portion goes around the back of the strap to hold it secure. The camera stays clipped in the mount unless you rotate it and then you can lift it up and out. Everything is secure and the camera is safe from accidental drops with the safety tether. I'm using it with a small and light camera (Panasonic LX-100 v2) and it works great. I've also tried it with my Nikon D7200 with a Nikon AF-S 16-80mm f2.8-4 (which weighs over 2.5 lbs) and the Cotton Carrier on the backpack can safely handle the weight. However, the sling bag rotates on my shoulder due to the weight. I chose this over the Peak Design Capture Clip because the Cotton Carrier can handle wider straps.

[Tech Panels] I am a huge fan of peak design being a owner of the peak design everyday 30L backpack and recently the quick release system. I purchased this sling bag for the purpose of putting my drone kit into it and then if needed putting it in the top of my everyday backpack. Also it’s second purpose would be to carry around my point and shoot kit in situations where a smaller bag is needed. Now that we got that out of the way here are the things I do like and don’t like about the bag. Pros: Peak design quality noticeably light and comfortable Designed to fit small drone and camera setups Transforms from sling to fanny pack instantly Smart features (tuck away straps, iPad sleeve, secret phone pocket & nicely placed pockets) Quick release system accessible Zipper security locking And here are my biggest gripes about using this bag Cons: - Use of plastic rings to tighten and loosen straps - Top is a little resistant to stay open - Front pocket should be a little bigger and flexible

[10.9 x 9 x 4.4"] This is my third Peak Design bag. After purchasing the Everyday Backpack (v1) when it launched and already owning the 5L v1 Sling, I decided to purchase the 3L v2 sling for my mirrorless camera. The 3L is perfect for my Fujifilm X100V and a few other accessories like my wallet, cell phone, keys, extra batteries and memory cards. One of my favorite things about Peak Design is their attention to functionality. There is no wasted space in this Sling - there are plenty of pockets and compartments for anything you'd need on a daily walkabout. I recently took this with me on a 5 mile hike and was able to fit everything I needed into it. This is a great bag, I love it!

[2 lb] I've owned and used lots of camera bags of many designs including shoulder bags, backpacks, holster bags, Pelican cases, and sling bags. I was looking for a better bag to use on day hikes: I wanted the comfort of a backpack with the convenience of a sling or shoulder bag. This bag is definitely the best sling bag that I have used: it is nearly as comfortable as a small backpack (if you don't overload it) and convenient to use. On my first outing with this bag, I carried a Nikon D7200 with the 16-80mm f/2.8-4 DX zoom lens (just over 3 lbs), a water bottle, a small prime lens, some food, and some accessories. The bag was still comfortable at the end of a 3 hour hike. The build quality is very good with thoughtful touches like little elastic bands to secure the loose ends of the straps and a selection of dividers to customize the interior. Recommended.

[Orange] This backpack has been discontinued by Think Tank / Mindshift in favor of their sling packs. As a photographer who's main focus (pun intended) is landscape photography who also has fun with street macro, I find that there is not one camera bag that works best for all situations. My go-to main bag is a Nya-Evo as it carries everything I need. Lately I have been doing a significant amount of shooting in the NJ Pine Barren Swamps and waterfalls, where I find I need quick access to my gear without removing the bag. This is when I found the PhotoCross 15 backpack. It carries the gear needed and I can get quick access without having to find a place to put the bag down (especially while wearing muck boots or waders in deep swampy water). I also have a smaller PhotoCross sling which I use for street photography. Like all Think Tank/Mindshift gear, the quality is excellent. If you need this kind of access grab one while there are some still available.

[Yes] Not ideal when used on a rucksack, as it gets in the way when you need to remove the backpack or get in the back, however when i started using it on my camera sling (Mindshift), its perfect...I can leave it on and not have to remove. Agree with previous reviews and changing-out carabiners to a locking-type to ensure the strap doesn't slip out.

[Handle] This is perfect if you want to throw a camera into any backpack or bag

[18 x 12.6 x 7"] I sometimes use this for a small camera bag but mostly use it as a general backpack.
