[Percussion] I have 6 MXL 606's now- acquired incrementally over the last several years. I'm likely to buy more! I have used them with excellent results for snare, drum overhead x-y, bass kick drum, toms, acoustic guitar, electric guitar cabinets, bass guitar cabinets, concert 9' grand piano, all with excellent results running into a Focusrite 2i2 or 18i20. This mic is well suited to higher volume / percussive / fast transient sound sources. 5 |

[Cardioid] I mainly bought this for mic'ing guitar cabinets and combo amps. It does a great job! Very warm and punchy, and not at all harsh or thin like some condensers can be on guitar amps. I have used it on sax as well and was very happy. I have not used a lot of other ribbons, so I don't have a lot to compare it to, but for the money, I think this mic is worth every penny. 5 |

[10' / 3 m] I use Pro Co (11 AWG) cables on all my bass amps and cabinets. You can spend more money on a cable, but you'll be hard pressed to find a better one. 5 |

[40° x 40°] Good speakers, decent bass. The cabinets are super durable against the elements, direct sun exposure hasn't faded the color. They've been outdoors under a covered patio for 6 months and sound as good as day one, must recommend. 5 |
