At 1.2M it is longer than a passive USBC or Thunderbolt 3 cable would be--assuming your monitor has the USBC/TB3 input anyway. [Capacitive] I'm using this as a monitor for my 14 inch MacBook Pro. By upping the monitor resolution, I am able to get a lot more screen space to work on. I brought this for photo editing and am very pleased with the image. The only drawback is you need to work in a semi dark environment because the screen is very glossy. It's about the same as my laptop screen but when that much screen is in front of you the glare becomes more obvious.  I shoot 90% in portrait mode and also wanted the ability to rotate the screen.  All around great monitor. Stand is super sturdy and versatile.  I had it out of the box and was using it in about 5 minutes. All the cables were included.
