[Closed-Back] Best headphones I've ever owned! Outstanding!

[32 Ohms] I've owned several other headphones including AKG K601, Sennheiser HD 598, Sony MDR-1A and Sony MDR-Z7, and in my opinion this pair of Z1R is the best so far for pop music, the sound is rich and well balanced, I just wanna listen to every song I have for once more. I really appreciate the use of the newly designed acoustic filter. However, I'm not happy with was the plastic housing, the metal housing used on the Z7 model seems to be much more durable and scratch-resisting. Also, the coating on the hanger is easy to wear off and get tin point too if you are not careful enough. These are well solved problems on the older Z7 and I don't know why Sony didn't adopt the merits from their old model.

[0.72 lb] I have 2 of these sweet cases. One for my mastering lab AKG K712 headphones and one for my location headphones (AKG K240 MKII). Protection galore. I highly recommend this case.

[5 Hz to 23 kHz] These headphones are exactly what I was looking for when I purchased them almost 30 days ago. Basically I like everything about them: The sound is perfect for what I do in the studio, that is a sound and video editing very clear and transparent with a lot of detail. I think these are the best headphones I have ever owned. The AKG K812 headphones are very comfortable, well/solid built, and easy to adjust while on your head. I also like very much a stand that comes with these headphones. I purchase the headphones with the AKG HP4E 4-Channel Headphone Amplifier - all works great!

[9.4 x 6 x 2.3"] I use the HeadAmp6PRO to listen to high end headphones, like AKG K-702, Beyerdynamic DT-990, and Sennheiser HD595. I also have a discrete class A headphone amp, but two of the above headphones need more bass, in my opinion. The bass/treble control is great - very low noise - can play the 702's very loud and they are not easy to power. Highly Recommended for this purpose, or Pro Audio.

[10' / 3 m] Comparing this to AKG K240 Studio monitoring headphones it is not as good. But it's very close. This was the only headphone I could find with a removable cable at this price point. Sound quality is very good but not excellent. This may be that I haven't broken the headphones in yet, but the sound stage is stiff and the treble with percussion is a bit muddled without good separation like on the AKG. These headphones have more emphasis on the low-end than the AKG 240's though. Comfort-wise these headphones fit better than AKG from the get-go -- it took awhile for the AKG's to loosen and stop squeezing my glasses to my head. However, I wish the pads were slightly bigger or oval shaped to fit the ears more comfortably. The padding is very soft. Another reviewer noted that the Polsen's 32ohm drivers cannot be driven by an iPad, but this is not the case. I had no issues when testing with normal volumes on an iPad Mini 2. The AKG K240's are 55 ohms in comparison and are decidedly quieter. A good purchase for good quality monitoring.

[36 Ohms] I recently got my hands on the AKG K371 Over-Ear Oval Closed-Back Studio Headphones and I must say, I'm thoroughly impressed. The sound quality is outstanding, rivaling my higher-priced Sennheiser headphones. The AKG K371 delivers clear, balanced audio, making it an excellent choice for both casual listening and studio work. The design of the headphones is another highlight. With a sleek and smooth aesthetic, they not only provide comfort for extended listening sessions but also add a touch of style. The build quality feels robust, ensuring these headphones can withstand the rigors of daily use. However, it's worth noting that the AKG K371 headphones do not offer significant sound isolation from external noise. While this may not be a deal-breaker for everyone, it's an important consideration if you're planning to use them in noisy environments.

[Metal] I had to buy these to replace the adapters on my AKG monitor headphones and they are a perfect fit and at a price you can afford to have a few around in case you lose them like I did. B & H as usual has stellar service and delivery second to none.

[2" / 50 mm] At this price point, and after having owned 5 studio headphones over a few decades, AKG K240 MKII, K553 MKII, Sony MDR-7506, KOSS PRO 4AA & 4AAA, I have found THE Referred Personal Listening Tool.
