I used this coupler to mount a desktop mic stand extension onto my existing mic stand, to increase the height.

[Screw-Knob] This desktop mic stand is great. Here's why... 1. Very affordable 2. Well built and robust 3. The weight assures stability for desktops 4. Matte black, textured base 5. Telescoping adds a bit of height if needed I think the best feature of this mic stand is it's size. It won't take up too much space on my desktop so I can leave it on my desk year round.  [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review]

[9.85 lb] The Auray Desktop reflection filter and mic stand does everything it's supposed to and at a very favorable price.

[Screw-Knob] I was using the Auray desktop mic stand for recording YouTube videos, but I couldn't get the mic close enough. This boom arm does the trick, allowing me to place the mic exactly where I need it while the stand can sit back out of the way. (The stand required adding weight to the base so it wouldn't tip, but I just put a 2.5-pound free weight on it.) The boom arm pivots and tilts and extends easily and reliably. I imagine it would work great on a full-size mic stand as well.

[22 x 9 x 3"] I use it as a desktop mic stand. It has a good heavy base and the boom arm is sturdy enough. I leave the rotating joint loose so I can just swing the mic out of the way when not needed. So much better than the old vertical desktop mic stand I used to use, which was always in the way. Not that cheap but I am very happy with it.

[1] I use the Auray MS-1218T desktop stand to hold my Electro-Voice mic for voiceovers and general meetings. The stand has a heavy base that allows me to use this stand with a wide variety of microphones. The arm telescopes out if you need it up to 18 inches so it's pretty easy to position it in whatever way you need it to. It's built well and should hold up over time. It's perfect for what I need it to do. [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review]

[End Address] I'm using this mic to not over to provide voice-over commentary for a documentary that I'm working on, but also for Zoom meetings. Together, with the absolutely tiny stand (Schoeps TCg Miniature Table Stand), the mic is a discrete 'boom' mic that disappears on the desktop and avoids extraneous room sounds. While expensive, the quality and size are unbeatable. And if you're already using the mic for its typical use, it can now dual-purpose as a very high quality desktop mic using the Schoeps TCg stand.
