Best Digital Camera For Northern Lights

[Black] I photograph the Northern Lights using a gimbal mount on a tripod. This means the camera is always in the horizontal position and that's very limiting. This rotating mount works perfectly. It's sturdy. All my Canon lenses fit. I can change rotation fast to compose images of rapidly-changing Northern Lights. I love it. Which I had it 10 years ago.

[FUJIFILM X] for shooting northern lights this is great. this is the widest lens for fullframe sensor at F0.95 . I shoot northern lights realtime video with this baby, handheld thanks to IBIS, And even photo of northern lights , handheld - no tripod , at 1/5 sec shutter thanks to IBIS ... for portrait work the 45mm f/0.95 is probably better but for wider sky view this is a great lens .

[90°] Photographing the Northern Lights is the main reason I got this phone tripod holder. My iPhone 's night mode makes this easier. But holding the phone is tough in sub zero temps. You have to use your bare hands to get the photo. This holder is small and easy.

[Suede, Wool] I bought these gloves at the last minute before a trip to Iceland to photograph the Northern Lights. They worked exactly as described and kept my hands toasty warm without even adding in hand warmers. They are so well insulated that my finger and thumb did not even get very cold when exposed for taking my shots. I may get the heavier ones now for mid winter.
