[Aluminum] Needed it to recover data from 2 Mac laptop drives (a 2018 Mac AIr and 2019 Mac pro). It read both drives with no problem. Just remember that you will be able to see the files but you need to change the permission on each file before you actually can move or open the files. That is a Mac thing. 5 |

[3] I replaced a 2018 laptop moving up to 4TB mostly for image data. The new M3 CPU is fast. The transition was easy - used a backup to bring everything over - easy. Only one issue which is that I use Windows 10 with Parallels. WIndows 10 is not supported with M3 chip. Recommendatiopn - upgrade to Windows11 before transitioning. Save your self a lot of trouble. New laptop exceeds expectations, highly recommended. 5 |
