[40.5 x 10 x 8"] The DigitaLIZA is, for me, so quick to set up and easy to use. And I get better results than with my flatbed scanner.

[Sheet] Awesome printer, but I wish the flatbed scanner was functional, sublimation prints have come out fantastic so far.

[Download] B&H had the best price for this target. Allows you to fine tune the focus on a flatbed scanner by using shims to adjust the distance to the lens. Lets you test the accuracy of your auto focus. Lets you determine the actual resolution of your scanner and the smallest scanning resolution that will give you the best actual resolution. Flatbed scanners fudge the resolution numbers big time. My Epson V500 with a claimed hardware resolution of 6400 x 9600 has an actual resolution of 1290 x 1600 which is still pretty good for a flatbed.

[LED] I found a good deal on this scanner when I needed to scan 1,000 pages and absolutely would not even try it with my flatbed scanner one page at a time. I unboxed this DS-410 and had it scanning pages in minutes. The software is easy to use and the quality of scans is fantastic. I'm mesmerized just sitting here watching paper shoot through it like it's nothing.

[USB-B 2.0] I had purchased this same unit about 3-4 years ago to purchase a flatbed scanner to do my 35mm & 120mm films. Sorry I sold the Plustek. It's so easy to use, small and light weight for storage and travel. If your doing more 35mm black & white this is the unit. Color work, I would have chosen the 8200. But when I shot 35mm film, it's mostly B&W. Very happy with the product, priced right, learning curve to use is fast....

[0.15 lb] I am digitizing decades of old financial records and got tired of a minute per sheet on my flatbed scanner. I can put a stack of papers in the R40 feed tray and tear through them two-sided in no time, it's breathtaking compared to flatbed scanning. The software lets you set up different scanning profiles (one-sided vs two-sided, different resolutions) which are then available with a single click. The only issue I have had so far is if a page has printing close to the edge it sometimes gets cut off. There is likely a fix for this but I haven't dug into the docs yet to research it as it rarely happens. Also I previously purchased the Readiris Pro software and haven't figured out how to interface it with this scanner but the included software does most of the same stuff (OCR is my main concern) so I am good for now. Given the scope of my scanning needs this device will save me hundreds if not thousands of hours of time over using a flatbed scanner.

[Flatbed Scanner] I was in need of a high-quality large flatbed scanner, and this was a great find. This scanner is able to pick up colors way better than my previous HP & Epson office printer/fax/scanners. It IS indeed very large, so be mindful of your surface space.

[33 x 22 x 21"] I bought it for my computer peripherals: 2 printers and a flatbed scanner. The cart is very well-made, sturdy and the drop leaves create a much larger top surface. The casters make it easy to move, but when locked, hold it in place very well. The assembly is easy, takes approximately 10-15 min. The package arrived without any damage, and thanks to B&H shipping policies, the delivery was free. I had it for a year and have nothing negative to say about it.

[Download] After using an Epson flatbed scanner for years and never being happy with it, I picked up one of these. Images are such sharper. Tonal changes are much smoother. Overall image quality is 2x as good. Only qualms are the film holder stops are somewhat vague. Not a huge deal once you use it a bit. Silverfast can give great results but is a pain to use.
