[GDDR6] I have a LGA 2011 X79 chipset from 2012. I removed my crossfire 7870's put in the 6600 XT and wouldnt post. Fan kicked on along with the cards RGB, but wouldnt post. after much research i updated my BIOS from A05 to A11 after that the motherboard did its POST and iv been been in gaming heaven ever since. Great card runs cool, looks great. I use for 1080p gaming but i can play most games in 4 k no problem.

I upgraded from 2012 15.4 MacBook Pro, which still runs well but I needed the latest for my consulting project. This laptop is beastly in its speed and processing power. Display is superb and the battery life is 20+ hours every single time. I look forward to carrying this laptop without power cord when I am at clients' site or on the road. I am a management consult and hence usually use office productivity apps but I will need some serious processing power for database and BI apps like PowerBI and Tableaux. I think I have 10 times the processing power I will need. The price is high but in terms of value, it's going to be as good as 2012 MacBook Pro, which still is very good, after 11 years! So, this is a steal for those who are looking for the state of the art technology and the best long-term value!
