Best Hard Drives For Nas

[1.725 lb] I was looking for some enterprise level NAS hard drives that weren't going to break the bank, and these are it. They work wonderfully and aren't loud at all.

[14.5 lb] I got this since I was upgrading hard drives in my NAS and needed a place to store the old hard drives. I can keep them all in one place and have peace of mind around how protected they are. The padding is great and I am able to have my drives with cradles as well. When this thing is fully loaded, it's super heavy though.. I haven't used this to travel/transport drives but am sure it's up for the task.

[300 W] A great way to transfer images various media to bare hard drives. Transfer to and from NAS or RAID drives easily. Very good value for money.

[9 x 6.2 x 2.8"] Ordered 6 12TB drives for a client's Synology DiskStation DS1823xs+ and all came with no errors, are extremely fast individually and very very strong drives when benchmarked in a RAID 6 (72TB, with 43TB usable in this configuration). Was able to practically saturate a 10Gbit network connection when testing sustained read/performance). Wrote a 4GB file to the NAS from a PCI 4.0 NVME Drive and hit 1080MB/sec. All came with Firmware 1401 and was easily updated in Synology DSM to 1402. Drives are fairly quite considering their capacity and intended performance in a NAS environment. Would recommend, other than being way more expensive that non-Synology branded Drives like an equivalent Seagate IronWolf Pro, etc. but as the compatibility list grows for this new NAS, other brands might become viable/better options.

[1.78 lb] Upgrading my NAS from 8x 4TB Drives to 8x 6TB drives for more capacity. I have bought four of these drives so far and they are working exactly as they should. I'll buy the other four next month and finish the upgrade. Very happy with them in my FreeNAS build. I am running a Raid-Z2 for redundancy and so my available space was approx 20TB before and it will be approx 32TB after. Plenty of room for our photos, videos, projects, home storage, audio, etc. For now anyway.
