Best Hdd Laptop Under 500

[1500 G / 0.5 ms] lost the hdd in a recent move in my newest laptop.  replaced with this.  was a breeze.  just installed and used windows media tool to install fresh windows 10.  so easy even grandma should be able to do it...wow its a lean mean blazing machine now...

[1.3 lb] Laptop was reporting hard drive as failing. Decided to replace my 5400rpm HDD with an SSD boot drive and a 7200rpm HDD into this Data Doubler. Instructions could have been a little better, but were easy enough to follow. Installation really was not that difficult. Kit came with all tools necessary for job and there were a few extra screws in the pack just in case I lost one of those tiny things. Tripled my onboard storage!

[5.3 x 4 x 0.5"] I had to upgrade my laptop from HDD to SSD, and that left me with a huge storage problem. I bought two of these and maxed them out with 300 Steam games, and so far, all of them have worked fine! If you're in need of some extra space, this is a good buy. One thing to note: Windows automatically hibernates thumb drives by default, but it's easy to fix with a web search.

[0.38 lb] I installed this HDD in a Dell Precision M6400 laptop as the secondary drive and it worked perfectly.

[Yes] Got this to put an old 7200RPM HDD out of my laptop when i upgraded to SSD. Getting the same transfer speed with the drive in the case that I got when it was in the laptop (when connected to USB3 port).

[0.7 lb] I have thoroughly tested this external HDD (with WD's software), reformatted it for larger sectors, and bought a high-impact case for it. It will hold all of my photos from Lightroom so that I can easily work on everything using my desktop while at home and on the road with a laptop. I will soon set it up with Bit Locker and find the cheapest way to back it up on the cloud. I wish it had a faster interface, but USB 3.0 will suffice. Please note that I use a separate and smaller 2Tb WD My Passport to back up the laptop and a far larger 5Tb external HD to backup the desktop. Some do not like the appearance of this product. I like its high-tech look. I picked red to remind me of my darkroom days.

[17.3"] Best portable monitor ever. It's thinner than my laptop but yet so powerful.
