[1 lb / 0.45 kg] Prior to this I had been using a hand-me-down pair of higher-end Sony headphones, but sadly one speaker finally gave out. Since pleased with a prior B&H purchase, I headed over to see what they had. Despite these being lower price-point than what I had been using, this hasn't felt like a downgrade at all! (And I bought mine on an open-box deal so they were especially budget-friendly.)  I'm no pro, but I do love listening to music & learning about music, so sound-quality is important to me. I think these are great, though perhaps someone with music-production experience could offer better comment. Two notes, not really negative but just commenting: buy the deeper ear-pads (or add your own). I wear these for listening to music or podcasts, so I'm not wearing them 24/7 for work, but even so, if I have them on for a few hours while at my desk doing projects, I will say my ears hurt a bit. Not sure if this is affected by pressure-points since I wear glasses? However, my old headphones had good padding and I didn't notice the problem. When buying these new ones, I decided against spending more for the deeper cushions at the time, and I'm kind of regretting it. Second comment, the adjusters to change where the pads sit over your ear, do slip a little. Every few on-offs I have to put them back to where they should be to sit correctly on my ear. This doesn't really bother me, but just commenting for those who might be particularly annoyed by this. Overall: great product, good sound, well-made, easy to fold up into a compact shape (plus it comes with a felty storage pouch). I also love the coiled cord, which stretches if need-be but otherwise stays compact, not this endless cord going everywhere on your desk or workspace.  A little pricey if you don't need them, but if you're an earphone wearer (vs. earbud) I think you will be glad to invest in something that will hold up.

[Download] This is the first time I've used in-ear monitors and I didn't feel or hear a difference from my over head headphones. I like that these are discreet and are much easier to pack and travel with. When shooting hand-held doc footage I tend to have just one in one ear so that I can monitor the audio while still having a clear idea of what's going on around me. The biggest selling point to these is that I do not find the quality to be any different than my over ear headphones from Sony or Audio-technica. In the description these are marketed as being usable for regular listening to music. I definitely would not recommend these for that given that these are truly designed to monitor audio so they lack the bass that regular listening devices add - this is a good thing. In other words, it might sound weird if you intend to use these for regular listening to music. [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review]

[Android, iOS] I have no knowledge about headphones or any audio electronics. I just need a decent wired in-ear headphones for listening to classical music. Wired because it's annoying and inconvenient having to charge it when I need to use it at the moment. In-ear because I wear eyeglasses and all the over-ear headphones cause extreme discomfort. And I am sick of those cheaply made earbuds online. I never even heard of IEM until this purchase, and I am glad I bought this. I listen to orchestra symphony a lot, also pieces by single instrument. I could tell all sounds collectively and individually well, imagine I am in the audience inside the concert hall and I can shift my attention anytime to the oboes, French horns, cellos...etc. I can feel like I sit next to the grand piano that is played on stage now. I almost cried the first time I put this on to listen to the classical music recordings on YouTube. Sorry for not being to offer any professional and technical analysis on this product. This is all I could say about how happy I am. well worth the money.

[Stereo] I love these open ear headphones! They allow me to keep my situational awareness while still enjoying my music/audiobooks/podcasts.

[64 Ohms] This is one of the best headphones I have ever had the pleasure of owning. The refined sound signature is something that really agrees with my listening preference, practically no listening fatigue with them at all. At the same time, it's very involving with a wide and tall soundstage, rich textural mids and vocals and great bass and sub-bass extension, when called for. Perfect for any music genre really. The design and comfort is absolutely top notch as well. Note, if you prefer headphones with very strong highs/treble, these are not for you. The treble is accurate, yet laid back compared to other headphones which seem to need to shoot the treble in to your ears in the guise of being 'high resolution'. Sony really stepped it up in all respects with their Z1R headphones. They're made in an in-house artisan department within Sony as well, not mass produced. [-40 dB] I am on my third set of Shokz open-ear headphones. I wear them all day, almost every day. I can hear my music and still hear family members talking to me, the door bell, the dogs wanting to come in, and so, so much more. I love my Shokz. I absolutely love, and depend, on my Shokz!

[1/4"] These were my first pair of in-ear headphones. I'm bought these to replace some generic earphones that I use for my portable entertainment devices. The sound isolation is good, and I can focus on listening to my music or watch a TV show/movie without feeling like the ambient noise around me is drowning out what I'm trying to listen to. The sound quality is good overall, but the higher frequencies don't seem quite as clear as I'd like, and the base can be a little overpowering. However, these problems were mostly solved by using the base reduction equalizer preset on my music devices. The cable seems very durable, and these seem to be overall well-made earphones. One thing that I was slightly disappointed with is that they did not come with triple-flanged ear tips. The ear tips that come with these headphones are okay, but I got Shure's triple-flanged ear tips, and those work much better.
