[31 lb] Works great out of the box on both Windows and Linux (various Ubuntu flavors). Provides a NIC for laptops without one.

[Active] I have ordered these many times for my companies new windows and apple laptops. People think you need a apple branded adapter but you do not. I went to ordering these after our first purchase were Monoprice branded which fell apart and failed shortly after first use. I will not order any other brand.

[0.39 lb] My laptops hard drive died after several years of use, and I replaced it with the exact same drive, I could not get Windows 10 reloaded, something wrong with the image disk I made when the computer was new, so i just downloaded Ubuntu and burned a install DVD disk, and it fired right up and has been working like a Champ.

[0.22 lb] I tried this adapter on two Windows 10 laptops. Windows did not find and install a driver automatically on either one, but I came to this site, downloaded the driver package, and was in business on both machines in a few minutes.

[150 Ohms] I use this frequently to connect laptops from stage to our sound system to run tracks and keyboard effects. I've never had an issue with them, they're rugged and they've even added some padding to the bottom of the units so they stay put on a glossy surface. I love these things!

[192 GB] When Microsoft banned computer hardware that didn't have the TPM chip and therefore would not run Windows 11, I said, That's it. Fool me once Microsoft. shame on you... What's to stop Microsoft from doing this again in the future? I began looking at alternatives and decided that running Windows 11 as a Virtual Machine (VM) inside a product called Parallels Desktop on a Mac was the way to go. I'm one who always assembled his own PC's and keeping my budget at $1000 for the box (no new monitor, keyboard, mouse, external devices) BUT, if I was going to run Windows 11 inside of my new Mac, the Mac had better be on the robust end of the spectrum. My former Macs have always had 8 to 16GB of RAM which was adequate for my usage. But since Windows 11 doesn't thrive until reaching 16GB, I decided that 32GB should be fine with this new Mac (it's perfect) Next, storage. VM's require a lot of storage space. I'm running a Windows 11 VM, Mac Sonoma (this is an additional Mac VM) and a Linux VM. My Mac now has 850GB free on a 2TB drive. Yes, get the 2TB storage! I have no storage insecurity which counts for a lot. Perhaps I'll try moving the VM's to external storage someday but I don't have resources for trying experiments now - using RAID arrays, etc. So now I have an expensive Mac (it's all relative, I know). I justify it by saying that I was going to have to buy my $1000 Windows box anyway plus I wanted the new Mac silicon. Installing Parallels Desktop and the Windows 11 VM is mostly an automated experience. Everything is fast.

[8.43 lb] Use for Mac Apps as well as virtual PC Windows 11 apps using Parallels. All apps seem much faster than with Intel i9 or Xeon 8 and 10 core processors at similar clock speeds on other Macs. Nice feature is that all my old x86 and x64 apps for windows could be installed and run under the ARM64 Windows 11. My old Mac apps for Intel also run smoothly with the Apple Silicon. Adobe Acrobat running on the Intel Mac was consuming 80GB of virtual memory and was limited by 64GB real memory, causing memory page exchanges with the disk and slow performance. This 128GB memory does not seem to be slowed by the huge memory consumption of that app since it retains zippy performance even after hours of editing.

[500 GB] SN750 or SN850 will do you well. I installed this as the primary OS drive on my laptop. I run Windows and Linux on it no problem. It is quick, and doesn't seem to overheat even in the small space. I like that it comes with TLC memory, so it should last. Comes with a good warranty.

[16 GB] After one month of steady use, I can h I was interested in upgrading to a quality, reliable laptop with good battery run time. onestly say that I am extremely satisfied with my new Dragonfly G4. I chose the Core i7 3365U CPUwith Touch Screen, a 512 GB SSD, 16GB of RAM, and 5G Cellular capability. I have used or explored pretty much all of its features and can say that every single one works flawlessly. The 5G cellular feature works exactly as advertised once set up with my ISP. The display renders outstanding text and graphics and the touch screen feature works flawlessly. Saying this, I can say that I haven’t experienced a single mechanical or software issue while using it, including the Windows 11 Pro OS. When I chose to buy a G4, I was fully aware that it’s flexibility and powerful capabilities are geared more for the business and enterprise audiences. However, I was interested in upgrading to a high quality system after using my seven year old Windows 10 unit that has been deemed non-upgradeable to Windows 11 due to its CPU incompatibility. I must mention that I am extremely impressed with the G4’s battery run time, too. I’ve tested the run time by streaming Web-based content and DVDs over various periods and the battery has never failed to deliver a sufficient charge state of less than twenty-five percent. It just goes on and on and on! To summarize my opinion of the G4, I have no regrets investing in such a powerful portable system. All I can say is, man did I hit the jackpot choosing the Dragonfly G4. This machine is powerful and packs a heavy punch as far as features and performance goes. It has been reliable and really pleasant to use so far. Again, the Dragonfly G4 is not cheap by any means. But it is hands down the best portable system I’ve ever used and owned. I am not some computer techie or expert guru. However, I have sense enough to know that HP really produced a real jewel that any manufacturer is hard pressed to beat. Outstanding system!!!

[3.3 ms (Read)] Got 6 of these drives. They run cool and quiet. if using windows, just note that 20TB (Terabytes) is 18.189TiB (Tebibytes) in windows. Drives are quoted by manufacturers in decimal units. so in reality my RAID setup is much smaller than I was planning for.
